I am really tired like under almost every Nightwish video are comments in which people still compare Tarja, Anette and Floor. Tarja is fantastic, I love her very much but it's been such a long time since she left the band and I think fans should go on. To be honest, Anette was't, lets say, the right choise for Nightwish BUT Floor, god damn, this singer is simply awesome. I couldn't have ever imagined a better replacement for Tarja. Her voice is fantastic, I like how she acts on a stage and I am really looking forward to albums with her. With Floor Nightwish has a very bright future!

I find it funny that the demo version of Ameranth sung by Marco sounds more like a Nightwish song than the album version sung by Anette

She's the perfect balance between Tarja & Anette... Pure talent! All the energy NW needed (a frontman... well, frontgirl haha) but less drama than an operatic voice, love her! Floor has made Nightwish the best power-symphonic metal band again. :)

Tarja cough my eye, when I Saw her singing these kind of songs I didn´t know anything about nightwish, anything about Symphonic Metal. I saw something different and incredible, that feeling is not produced by Floor on me. Floor is incredible, but I prefer Tarja.

Everybody has their own preference over the singers and styles they like and I respect that, but it's really true how Floor is more engaged and has a much stronger presence than the previous two. It's like not only Marco is interacting with the audience finally, but the whole band as a whole.
And I love how she harmonizes her. Credits back to good old Marco finally LOL

Yeah, but he made great songs... And actually he's not cut the singer before that singer made a bad situation for the survival of Nightwish as a group. If you remembered, Tarja act as a diva and threat to leave NW after the 'next' album... Anette got sick and didn't wanted to be replace by a temporary singer in the middle of a tour. She wanted NW canceled the show just because she's sick... I think Tuomas himself didn't want to change singer if not because an emergency situation happened... You know, change singer means he must study the characteristic of the new singer so that he can make a suitable song for that singer... Anyway, thank God this time the singer is 'the versatility' Floor Jansen, so that Tuomas can make any song that he think good and don't really need to match it with the singer characteristic... This time his singer proved has capability to match herself with the song... And I hope the new album will become the best album so far...

i see such negative comments here about Floor... we all know alot of you love and miss Tarja... but shes been gone for almost a decade now... and Floor came in for the Fans of Nightwish so they didnt have to cancel the rest of the tour!! and had to learn all the songs in a very short time! and nailed it greatly i think... yes they are not her songs as you all say... ofcourse theyre not!! she hasnt had any studio albums with the band yet! and yes shes not a Tarja clone... doesnt sing the songs like she did... so what?? covers arent supposed to be exact duplicates! she took time out of her already busy life to step in and help out good friends of her's so they could continue their tour for you guys!! they could have just canceled the rest of the tour and looked for a new singer and made an album... but they decided to finish.. theres no pleasing those ungrateful fans as we clearly see... like her or dont shes the new singer now... get used to it... and either support her and the band... or dont listen to their newer stuff. its that simple.. me personally i love the band with all the singers.. and will continue to do so.

I stopped listening to Nightwish years ago. I happened upon these videos from this show, and wow... I actually want to listen to them again. This vocalist (Floor? really?) kicks the shit out of both Tarja and Anette in expression, dynamics, technical skill and tone. Worlds above, breathed new life into this to me entirely.
Floor is a dutch name, reference to flowers. Think of flora or the french fleur.
I stopped too for awhile, and i found this and drank the floor water and i want more :D

Its the power and charisma along with stage presence that makes Floor so much better a fit. The other singer were fine, but i think Floor's style fits better. Marko is a beast. His vocals are precise and clear and powerful. He will be missed tremendously.

Ok, this song definitely changed my mind about Floor. I was a deep Tarja fan, but I heard this song and she nailed it!! Not just nailed it, she did amazing work, she just simply changed the original Tarja song into a better one!!! I am impressed!

My God, Marco is one fucking killer vocalist... I'm certain neither of the frontwomen Nightwish has had will sound as good as him when they get as old as he is now, and they're all pretty damn good singers too, mind you.
This was one of my most favourite song from Nightwish but now with Floor.. IT'S FUCKING AWESOME I totally love her voice, they could not find better replacement than her.

I got to see Nightwish live at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia a few years ago... Best live performance I've ever seen. Floor has the most incredible stage presence, she is an Angel, a Goddess, a Valkyrie. The power of her voice live... It's unreal. And she's soooo beautiful even my ex wife, whom I was with at the time, was like "I think I'm bi now". She's incredible to experience live. And getting to see and hear Marko and his incredible vocal range live from like 30 feet away? Plus, they had the DOUBLE opening act of Delain and Sabaton, and getting to hear and see them live as well as Nightwish? Best concert of my life. Hands down.

Personally, I thought Tarja's voice was too inflexible and classical sounding for a meal band, even symphonic metal. Anette kinda just made it sound like rock, not metal, she doesn't have the right voice for Nightwish although she can sing and I do like her voice. Floor on the other hand? Classically trained with a rock edge and she can death growl. And she's part of the metal crowd, look at her dancing and headbanging! Floor completes Nightwish, she's the vocalist they've been waiting for. I'm just saying, if Floor was the original vocalist and she's been fired and Tarja was the new one, you'd all be dissing HER instead...

well I guess there are some opera/operetta stars who also can do growls ... but is seems to be still a problem doing both ... and even if universities etc. accept this because they know their students will have to pay their rent, and growling as well as screaming is part of the extended voice techniques also in contemporary music, it may also be useful in modern musical theatre, musicals as well as modern opera.
Disagree, Tarja is the best singer for Nightwish, specially this song. Floor doesn't have the darker nature like how Tarja singing the dark song. Floor is very good singer, dont get me wrong, but for this song, Tarja is better.

Is it ideas of mine but all old nightwish's songs now sounds better and way more powerful, and you can see in the guy's faces that they now feel complete with floor in the band and we the fans are clearly appreciating that, floor was the missing part Holopainen was always looking for, now Nightwish is stronger than ever.

No disrespect to Floor, but her performance last Saturday (4/10/15) blew this entire DVD out of the water. Once is my favorite NW album and they swapped my favorite songs Dark Chest and Romanticide out of the setlist in favor of new songs, but those songs were so good I didn't even mind. They didn't play this one though, which is why I'm watching it now.
Tl;dr stop bitching about Nightwish singers because in terms of ability, versatility, and presence Floor is the best they've ever had.
