Harry Enfield old gits 4 funerals and a wedding is a must watch for the king and queen
"The day I killed a thousand Fuzzy Wuzzies". It doesn't mean animals, it means men of the Hadendoa tribe in Sudan, who the British fought in the 1880s.
Yes and a phrase often used by Corporal Jones in Dad’s Army.
didnt QE2 and or Philip use the term as well?
YOU have been reading OTHER PEOPLE'S reviews of the Fiction Series, SPARE by an Ex Prince with the Grey Matter Removed?@@lmc4964
@@lmc4964 No it was Tony Blair when he said “let all the fuzzy wussies in”
charming
The "Fuzzy-wuzzies" often gets referred to in the WW2 set comedy series 'Dads Army', where old timer Corporal Jones often talked about his time fighting them in years gone by. And also referring to using his bayonet on them, he would utter his hilarious catchphrase "they do not like it up em sir, they do not like it up em!".
I remember “They don’t like it up em” line from Corporal Jones. No wonder ‘Dad’s Army’ has been cancelled despite it actually being a really funny classic comedy.
King Boomer seems to think it means a type of animal though.
It’s a old derogatory term for human beings that live in Africa not Fuzzy animals that live In Africa
@@oli3437 Social commentary of times gone by. No need for it to be pulled from TV so long as the viewers are of average intelligence or above and able to accept that what they are viewing are times as they were.
Oh yea you have to react to the TV series dads army..
@@oli3437 Actually, "Fuzzy-Wuzzies" wasn't originally a derogatory term for Africans. It was a nickname for the soldiers of a particular Sudanese warrior tribe, referring to their distinctive head-dress worn in battle and visible at a distance to the opposing army. Not derogatory at all - any more than referring to the "green berets" or "blue bonnets" or "red hackles" or "Mohawks". (I'm not saying your great-uncle Jim didn't use it as a general derogatory term for all Africans, but when Corporal Jones was at war, it was just a nickname for soldiers of one tribe in the Sudan, who happened to be fighting against the British.)
That's funny because Fuzzy Wuzzies is how Australian troops would refer to Papua New Guinea tribesmen who helped them in WW2, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuzzy_Wuzzy_Angels.
Fuzzy wuzzies was a British knickname for African people from Sudan and Ethiopia
Albert Steptoe called them Wogs.😂
Best explained by Corporal Jones in BBC "DAD'S ARMY", remember they don't like it up them. Lord Kitchener of Khartoum, the original author.
Rudyard Kipling wrote a poem called that
Not a nickname they where actually fighters supporting "The Mad Mahdi" in opposition to Anglo- Egyptian forces.
Nickname not knickname. It's a phrase where the "N" slid from the article to the noun and was originally "an eke name" (eke meaning "other") which became "a nickname"
Harry Enfield was the gold standard of comedy when I was a kid
Poppers are something completely different 😃 Happy Xmas
More commonly known as Amyl Nitrate which I believe are popular among a certain community
Do Christmas Poppers smell of Nutmeg?

@@mrmoran0077I’ve heard they assist people participating in certain activities. 😂
I just love your reactions to these pieces, KB. It cracks me up, like I'm watching them for the first time.
Something that you may well enjoy is "Norbert Smith- a life", one of Harry Enfield's early works It's a mockumentary which brilliantly lampoon's the Brit film industry from the 1920s to the 80s. It is on RUclips, but not so easy to find, and generally is chopped into sections.
Merry Christmas King and Queen Boomer and Princess Boomer. Hope you have a great day filled with love, laughter and happiness. Looking forward to seeing more video reactions in 2024.
From UK, nice that you have UK sense of humour. please note the spelling!
Merry Christmas, King Boomer, Queen Boomer and Princess Boomer. 🥰🎄🧑🎄
I love his take on the old WWII Ministry of Information film shorts. Bob Danvers Walker was the voice of the time (he can be heard in the Army cinema showing piece in the 1958 film Dunkirk) and Harry has that straight laced voice down to a tee. As to the one American voice at that time, no-one comes close to Quintin Reynolds who decided to stay in London in the Blitz against the wishes of his bosses. His voice is that of the documentary short London Can Take It which can be found in RUclips.
Reynolds was brilliant, both in his writing, and his sang-froid delivery. Voices like his were great morale boosters in dark times.
King Boomer if you love these old school skits you have to check out Armstrong and Miller WW2 pilots!
Tell him people
Maybe the Flanders and Swan parodies too?
^ What he says
Merry Christmas to your whole family, thankyou for keeping a smile on many peoples faces!! xx
More relevant than the US Bison was the US Passenger Pigeon which in the early 1800s had an estimated population of at least three billion birds, yet, by 1900, none survived in the wild, in fact a special 'shoot' was organised for the last known flock which consisted of around 250,000 birds - all were killed ! The very last one, died in captivity around 1914.
Merry Christmas, I don't comment much but I have been watching for a long time, I have noticed a difference in you both since you became parents, you might not see it, but its heartwarming
i remember our first visit to florida and two chaps had to catch a small gator from the creek
I literally was thinking about the GTA VI trailer when you mentioned being in Florida surrounded by alligators and then you said it yourself 😂
These characters were also used to advertise Mercury Communications, which was the first major "independent" (IE, not British Telecom) telecoms company in Britain. It used to have really cool modernist phone boxes.
I love the advertisment break one with new scientific discoverys lol like if your kid wets the bed he gets electrocuted etc so funny 😊 Merry Christmas to you both .
Croydon aerodrome was London's main airport before Heathrow was opened in 1946
Now Gatwick Airport
I went to primary school in Wales in the 70s and we read a book about a boy called "little black Sambo". We even had paintings of him on the walls of the classroom.
My mother-in-law tried to give us that book: 15 years ago!
Merry Christmas to you , Queen B and Baby B.
Merry Christmas and a peaceful new year to you and the family from us here in Edinburgh..
Merry Christmas King, Queen and Princess Boomer, lots of love to you all 🌵...balls, meant to be a Christmas Tree......and yes, poppers tomorrow....
Big up Croydon...the Airport was actually on the Purley Way, 3 minutes away from where I used to live in the UK 💪
I recommend Harry Enfield - Mr Cholmondley Warner on The Working Class
I wish you both a really lovely Christmas break; the first Christmas with your baby girl...so special 💗
Fuzzy Wuzzies were the Beja Warriors from the Sudan who we fought in the 1880's but it eventually got used to describe any black person who had unkempt hair.
Merry Christmas to you and Queen Boomer and Princess Boomer!
🎄
Merry Christmas 🎅 and a happy new 🎉 from Nottingham uk 🇬🇧
Agree Rab C Nesbitt is funny but sometimes i struggle with his thick glaswegian accent and i'm Scottish so god knows how king boomer would get on.😂
Merry Christmas you three 🎅🤶👶
I once watched a black-and-white silent film from the 1920s. I think it was about The Charge of the Light Brigade or the Three Feathers or similar. At one point a caption comes up that says something like "there are thousands of fuzzy wuzzies, we're surrounded!"
Merry Christmas King and Queen Boomer and family. Thank you for all the laughs this past year. Keep them coming. Regards from the Suffolk coast in the UK.
Love you guys
Merry Christmas King and Queen Boomer from Birmingham UK👍🏼
Happy Christmas to you all, the show was Harry Enfield & Chums. Cheers from UK - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Enfield_%26_Chums

The programme was ‘Harry Enfield and Chums’ which was a sketch show with Harry Enfield, Paul Whitehouse and Kathy Burke.
Hi, I'm personally from the uk & used to watch this show, it's called Harry Enfield & Chums.
Lead 'dummies' (soothers in the US?) were actually a thing in Edwardian England for teething babies, laced with laudanum, a mixture of opium and alcohol.
Hope you react to Harry Enfield's: Kevin Becomes a Teenager. It's the perfect video to prepare yourselves for when your kids turn into teenagers lol
3:22 before WW2, Croydon Airport was the main airport serving London.
Harry enfield and chums was the program that had all these sketches on. Later he did ruddy hell is harry and paul
Love your videos King Boomer.Merry Christmas to you and Queen Boomer and a Special MErry Christmas to little Princess Boomer. I hope Father Christmas is good to her. First Christmas with a new baby is so special. Bet you can’t wait. ❤❤❤❤❤
Boomer, re Fuzzy Wuzzy , Kipling wrote in his poem ' Fuzzy Wuzzy ' ' So 'ere's to you, Fuzzy-Wuzzy, at your 'ome in the Soudan, You're a pore benighted 'eathen but a first-class fightin' man;
To answer your question - I believe a lot of these sketches are from the Harry Enfield & Chums show
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a name the British soldiers gave the African tribesmen they were fighting against in the 1800's, it was based on their hair.
Frohe weihnacten! i spent xmas in the ED....i work there lol, volunteered to workas i have no family, single, no kids so it made sense too, let those with what i dont have spend quality time with each other at this time year
Merry Christmas to you and the Mrs.
A merry Christmas to you both!
OK: In Sweden, by my house, I feed reindeer, foxes, squirrels, birds. An owl lives in a dead tree. A moose sometimes drops by. Had to slow down (the car) for a bear. Beaver swims by in the river below, to his hut. Marten and mink sometimes rush away when I go down to the jetty. The fox actually eats out of my hand, indoors, as do some birds (outdoors). ALLIGATOR!? Would move immediately.
Merry Christmas to you and family KB 👍
I might get some Christmas poppers this year.
Merry Christmas your highnesses 🕊🕊🕊❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🕊🕊🕊
Merry Christmas mr n mrs and lil boomer!!
have a great day tomorrow, love your streams and keep them coming Mr Boomer
Good old fashion fun!
Dude, you have no idea: a British high-up guy living in Africa in the early days installed a machine gun in his back yard which was overlooking a large valley. He absolutely cleaned out massive amounts of animals which happened to come into the area.
Harry Enfield and Chums is the programme its from. Amazing comedy sketch show
Popper's with the family 😂😂😂😂
Merry Christmas
I was on a plane in the US a while back and a group of Americans had with them in the cabin, three alligators, a lion and seven giraffes as ..... so called "service pets" .....
These old style clips were from Harry Enfield & Chums, back in the 90's.
A very Merry Christmas KC and all the family , and a very prosperous and Happy New Year .
Happy New Year King Boomer and family , Can I just tell you, I'm British and I love your reactions to Father Ted so I sent my adult son one of your reaction videos ...and he thought you were Chris Meloni from SVU 🤣🤣🤣❤
The show is called Harry Enfield and chums. Merry xmas to you king queen and princess.
Merry Christmas Muppet, Mrs Muppet and of course Mini Muppet!! The programme was Harry Enfield and Chums, check out the "brown baby" sketch!!!
have a happy Christmas and happy new year
Nice one Boomer. Merry Christmas to you and your bird.
I think that, like 'Harry and Lulu', these were sketches within the 'Harry Enfield and Chums' series. Real pet alligators?! This conjures up images of feeding time with the family seated inside steel cages, passing 'not-so-cuddly Alistair Alligator' his Christmas turkey at the end of a very long pole. A very Merry Christmas from Oxford, UK!
By the way, as you like these 'skits', if you can find it try an episode of a series called 'Ripping Yarns' (old upper-class British slang for excellent [ripping] stories [yarns]), which was written by Michael Palin and Terry Jones of 'Monty Python' fame. The episode in question is a spoof on life in a late 19th century 'public' (i.e., fee-paying) school. It's bizarre yet hysterical.
merry chrismas mas everyone
Merry Christmas dude love your show👍
The book title “ how I shot a 1000 fuzzy wuzzies…” by a vicar walking across Africa is about shooting a 1000 people not animals!!
Merry Xmas King Boomer
If I remember properly the one show he did was "Harry Enfield & Chums", but later on he did "Harry & Paul", which they did some "risky" sketches.
There's a video called "(The Death of Comedy) HARRY & PAUL" by Bull Brand, it's 30ish minutes long, and full of some of their more "riskier" stuff
Harry Enfield initially did Harry Enfield's Television Programme, and then later Harry Enfield and Chums, both with Paul Whitehouse and Kathy Burke, then Paul left to do the Fast Show. Harry, Paul & Kathy also did Kevin & Perry Go Large! I strongly recommend the Mr Cholmondeley-Warner sketch on Diseases of the Mind (ruclips.net/video/xlv3B1078PA/видео.htmlsi=WKAuvzxTWBCEzJZk)
"That Mitchell and Webb look " is a sketch show with the peep show guys they do similar sketches about WW2 also The Armstrong and Miller show do a great sketch with WW2 pilots chattin modern stylee !! ENJOY
If you go back and watch the Inbetweeners work experience episode, you'll notice the garage boss Jim keeps calling Will "Cholmondley-Warner" in reference to this character
Merry Christmas Brian, Queen Boomer (Callie(?)) & Princess Boomer (Adrienne (?)), from Dougie & Lisa, living in Frome, Somerset, England.
I had a book given to me as a young lad…’My Little S*mbo’. I kid you not!
Merry Christmas to you all.🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
This sketch was from Harry Enfield and Chums , classic comedy 😊
Have you seen their one about "Conjugal Rites", plenty of others too from Grayson and Cholmondley-Warner. Pretty sure they're from "Harry Enfield & Chums".
Merry Christmas🎁
Merry Christmas ! 🎉
