- When life gives you olives… make olive oil! We were not expecting any olives this year after a big trim the year before but after finding a tree hidden in our overgrown fields we decided to go to town and see how much olive oil we could get.
Enjoy!

I’m always wondering why you use a hand pole saw to chop a tree when you have a chainsaw. 🤔
Good job with the olives. Did you get out 10% yield then? Could it have been because you waited a few days to get the olives to press? Maybe next year you can get some nets and rakes and friends to help you harvest. If your trees do well. And if you do the same for a neighbor, they can share the spoils with you too. 😊
@@lfuentes4098 honestly sometimes I just prefer the poll saw. Especially when climbing up trees ect or if angles are awkward. I don’t think it was very clear on camera but there was a bit of drop right next to the big olive tree so best not to take the risk. Also I (Charlotte) have a really bad upper back and can’t actually get it to start 😅 I will say we were 100% not prepared this year as we didn’t think we would get anything. Next year we should get a lot more and will majesties to have the nets and takes for sure as I have a big callous on my finger from stopping the trees with my hands 😂 from what I understand after having a chat with the guy who runs the press a lot of people have not had a good yield this year due to El Niño affecting the weather early ninth year and harvests. 🤞we get better weather next year
You did a great job considering how poorly you were . Must be nice to have produced your own olive oil x
@@LazieJane I didn’t want to film us as I was fully aware of how awful we looked haha 😂 next year we WILL have a full jug 🤞😅💪
Check his ears and armpits for Ticks.
1 2 3 push ???
@@carlosvictor8679 lol 😂 so because Carlos grew up bilingual there a few words he gets mixed up with. Because pull in Portuguese is puxar (the x being a sh sound) he gets those mixed up. But I knew what he meant 😅
