- The Fabergé Pearl Egg was presented at Baselworld 2015. It is the first "Imperial-Class" egg from Fabergé in nearly 100 years. The Pearl Egg draws its inspiration from the way that a pearl forms within an oyster; the outside shell opens in six sections to reveal a uniquely pure pearl in an unusual shade of grey of a magnanimous size of 12.17 carats sourced from the Arabian Gulf.

Some years ago I mortored to San Diego and spent 4 hours looking at the exhibit ..............It was worth every minute of my time. JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@PyroGothNerd Some people say that Peter Carl Fabergé, as a perfectionist, would never accept the SMALLEST of the mistakes in making a Fabergé Egg, that's why the Russian Imperial Family had him as their private jewelier.

Just no...it does not have the elegance of design the old eggs have. Too many pearls, way overdone. Tacky.
That craftsmanship for the mechanism of opening and closing seems not sturdy enough
what can we expect when Carl Faberege isn't there to make sure its done right!? legend has it if an egg had the smallest defect he would smash with a hammer and make them start all over
cuz it has been made in the cavemen times. Tech and mechanism was not at it's best.
No Ashley Yoon, this one was only just made. I thought it looked like the mechanism could have been a bit smoother too.
