In this episode of the series dedicated to the History of 4th year of ESO, the main characteristics of the first industrial revolution are explained from the textile, mining and steel sectors, as well as its main technical innovations. In addition, the video includes an additional section dedicated to the agrarian revolution.

Sin embargo, fue la máquina de vapor, patentada por James Watt en 1769, la que permitió abandonar la dependencia y las limitaciones de las fuentes de energía tradicionales. Esta innovación permitió accionar las bombas de agua de las minas, las máquinas de tejer, los martillos de las forjas y llegó a convertirse en el símbolo de la revolución industrial. La máquina de vapor ofrecía la posibilidad de generar energía mecánica empleando vapor de agua obtenido a partir de la combustión de carbón mineral. El motor de vapor aumentó la oferta energética, transformando con ello la economía. Además, revolucionó la minería y el transporte, tanto marítimo como terrestre, favoreciendo la integración del mercado británico y mundial.
