sm actually did want to disband them , they didnt offer all the members to renew the contracts , just like what happened to H.O.T , but shinhwa and ERIC was smarter than that
they really are the best together, bring out the best in one another, and their smiles are the happiest together. despite their manly outlook, they also are not afraid to show that they have a child side in them, they are very real :)

i dont think sm wanted to disband them... andy said himself that when he left the group and had nowhere to go because of his difficult situation, LSM (from SM) called him and yelled at him to get to the shinhwa fan meeting where his members welcomed him back with hugs and kisses :) i have grudges against sm for sure with all my favorite groups disbanding because of the company but i have to thank sm for raising such talented groups like shinhwa, etc. SHINHWA JJANG!
if i'm not mistake sm give offer to all member except dong wan but they want still remain in 6 member,that's why they are disband,moon hee jun envy shinhwa because they are willing sacrifice for member to be a group until now...
@sampie04 replying from 2 years... from what I've heard their contract at SME is already finish and Lee Min Soo only want Eric to sign another contract with them but Eric declined, SM ent then wont let them take the name of SHINHWA and their songs so Eric did everything he could.....
