This passed weekend one of my close friends unfortunately lost his battle to cancer at 25😪 all of his friends decided to stay together for the night and we played illenium the entire night because he loved him. At one point all the boys were outside on the porch holding this lil white candle when one of the songs skipped by itself and this song started playing. My phone was locked in my pocket and both hands were gripping the candle. I could feel him there with us and we all knew he was out there with us. I’m eternally grateful for the short time we had with him and so appreciative of him for bringing us all closer together even if it was at the cost of him. WE LOVE YOU EDIN! VIBES VIBES VIBES
My best friend and I loved Illenium together. When we saw him live in Seattle a number of years ago, we held hands and cried happy tears to our favorite songs. He has been gone for a month now after struggling with depression for years. I relate to this song so much and I feel his presence through it. What an amazing release.
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my best friend last year to depression too. I hope you get a chance to see Illenium again though and that it brings you the same energy from the Seattle show you saw with your friend. Much love.
