It astounds me that I lived with a woman like this for so long. Literally did EVERYTHING. Wasted Almost 10yrs. And got another 20 to go to raise these kids as their primary parent .SMH. Finally disconnecting from her has been one of the biggest hurdles so far. It’s a breath of fresh air no longer being around someone like that’s tyranny and emotional abuse.
This dude told you he feels like a ghost in his own home. The fact he even admitted that, and that he feels like that should be all you need to hear. If a woman said I don't feel loved or appreciated, this whole conversation would be about how her husband ain't shit.

So often, the spouse who isn't responsible for that day-to-day grind. We'll think that you should just let things go for a couple of days so you can reconnect. It's not that reconnecting is bad or inconvenient. It's that if you are the one pushing the river and making all of those tiny things happen, letting all of that go for just 2 days means you're going to be digging everybody out by the weekend.
If you watch the show, the therapist is really good about guiding couples to break through defensive listening to deep listening. Some couples are harder than others. I feel like tashira actually listened to understand fairly quickly. At least she was able to do that much more quickly than a participant in the prior season.
Tashira isn’t into Dru whatsoever. They had an oops baby and rushed into being a family so the kids would have their parents together. Tashira would have preferred to stay single and do her own thing.
She cuts him off. She is not validating him at all. She's got an attitude when she is interrupting him by saying " I'm a robot." She is not hearing him. She is terrible
You can't negotiate desire and you won't get affection by asking. If she pulls back on affection, you pull back. If she comes closer, you ger closer. Is called sexual TENSION. I think men always try to comunicate with words and logic. IMO comunication with women is more about actions and feeling the moment. As a man you have to facilitate the mood so she can get more affectuous with you. Talking about it is no gonna solve nothing. With women is not about what they say, is about what they do.
I am not going to opine about marriage in general. But let me tell you. I am married, going for 10 years. After a stressful day at work, nothing gives me more happiness than opening the door of my house and see my husband in the living room waiting me with a smile. We chat, enjoy the breeze (or bitch about the weather), eat together and go to bed. Every day. And I am not being corny. just speaking the truth.
I love being married to my beautiful with and my beautiful children! I love responsibility and the hard word that goes with it! Makes me feel more of a man than these boys on this show! Man up lads!
