There was one case on youtube with a Brabus modified one. This winter I've been taking my A35 snow sliding a lot and it handled really well and composed. I had no issues at all. I asked at the dealership and they never heard about differential issues with this car. They do however have cylinder head issues, which mine had as well. It is although covered by guarantee.

My E63 AMG S handles very well in the snow/ice. The 4matic system on these are amazing. It is also a heavy car, so it feels well balanced.
Have you done something to the air filter or is it stock? You can hear it super well :)
