It gave a great atmosphere to the celebi and Latios quest.
Given their story it just felt amazing with this playing in the backround.
Has a slight melancholic vibe yet it‘s definitely positiv and feels motivating which encapsulates these to quests best imo

When I went to Europe last year, I played Search for the Girl over and over again. It really fit the mood.

I still remember that i found the movie by reading about their background first, and even reading the base line for the story it made me very sad, watching the movie (in Japanese subtitles) was even worse if not actually painful for me, and my best guess is that others might share this feeling

Oh Latias. She can possibly be one of the thematically romantic inspired pokemon species in all ages from clean to messy. This movie is actually one of my favorites to where I actually like a dragon type back in my days where I hated most of the dragon types because there weren't many cute looking fully evolved or non-evolving dragon types.

It can be, but I see Dragonite as more of the average dragon due to its balanced qualities where giving it a niche quality is too hard. It's not too cute, but not too cool, also not too badass, not too terrifying, not so majestic, and ... simply, this dragon type is too goodly balanced in its qualities.
I would give Dragonite a more Balanced looking pokemon in good ways for it has an equal and moderate distribution of characteristics.
This music played for the first time when Ash was chasing Latias
after that we never heard this music in the movie. After all the commotion, the fights and latios giving his life. At the very last we hear the music once again when Bianca/Latias was chasing the boat in which Ash and his team were travelling.
Hearing this at the very last made us feel that again everything is restored and Ash and his team are leaving. Only Latios gave up his life.

Quite honestly the Hoopa movie was pretty good IMO. It was thanks to that film that I could appreciate Hoopa as a Pokemon. The whole battle between legendaries bit was cheesy and an obvious marketing gimmick but otherwise the film was fairly decent.
That being said, there are plenty other Pokemon films that do much better.
