    Great channel! I’m intrigued by Indexed IUL’s. The 457 is maxed every year, and I’m looking for another place to deploy more disposable income. My main reservations are how companies play with levers such as reducing cap rate over time, changing the par rate, or saying “no cap” but there’s a spread or par rate instead, things like that

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady  7 месяцев назад

      The IUL I offer is uncapped and has a combined 335% participation rate that is guaranteed at 100%. Guaranteeing the par rate at 100% is rate. Allianz, which is the biggest name in the IUL space only guarantees their par rates at 5%, so worst-case scenario you might only receive 5% of any gains in the index. With Securian's BGAII, the only way they would reduce the par rates is if the index performed worse than the hurdle rate of 1.71% which is highly unlikely considering the index is rebalanced at the end of every business day. There is also no spread. These are all issues you want to evaluate when purchasing an IUL. If you would like to explore more, please complete the following questionnaire application.wealthprotectionlady.com/

    YOU ROCK! Just found you page researching IUL vs self directed IRA. You are an awesome presenter! Very clear, detailed and professional yet keeping it super simple. Great job. I have a relatively small 401k i need to roll over or distribute due to our company downsizing. What do you recommend?

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady  2 года назад +2

      Thank you, Jacob! You just made my day! I would recommend rolling over your 401k into a deferred index annuity. There would be no tax consequences, but at least it would be safe (0% floor) and my favorite index annuity has a 230% participation rate and is a volatility control index that is rebalanced at the end of every business day, so it performs very well! There are also zero fees! If you are interested in this, please complete this questionnaire and we can find a time to talk. application.wealthprotectionlady.com/

    One of my solutions is to retire abroad, which I plan to do in a few months. Thailand is way less expensive to live and just as modern as any city in the US. Yet, I still want to have a guaranteed income each month so i don't deplete my savings. I won't be here so rental properties would be out of the question. I will collect SS but if I can add another 600-700 a month to my income, it would really help. I have about 200K I can invest of savings. Would an Indexed Annuity be the best move?

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady  Год назад +2

      It depends on how old you are. If you are looking for a tax-free income, I would recommend an IUL, but if you are older than 65, I would probably recommend an indexed annuity.

    How can the beneficiary collect the death benefit and the leftover cash? Unless it's an increasing death benefit that takes the cash into account? Correct?

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady  10 месяцев назад

      While you are on the increasing death benefit option (which is while you are contributing a premium), the beneficiary would receive the death benefit which is the initial death benefit plus the cash value. Once you are on the level death benefit option (once you are no longer contributing), the beneficiary would receive the death benefit plus the surrender value.

  • @jaykiser8486
    @jaykiser8486 Год назад +1

    You mentioned "Annually Renewable". Does this mean there are medical exams every year to keep this policy, or is there one medical exam at the beginning to get the policy, and the policy is renewed when the premium is paid annually? Can a person have more than one policy? Can a person get policies on their kid(s), grand kid(s), etc.?

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady  Год назад +1

      With annual renewable term, you would not have to qualify every year -- just once to get the IUL policy. The cost of insurance just goes up every year. You can have more than one policy and you can get policies on your kids but with your grandchildren, you would have to be the beneficiary on those policies.

    Good Morning, can an IUL be set up inside an Irrevocable trust, with the trust owning the policy?

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady  Год назад +1

      If an estate exceeds its state's estate tax exemption threshold, you can place the ownership of a life insurance policy in an Irrevocable Life Insurance Trust. The trust would be the owner and the beneficiary, and the death benefit would be paid to the trust and would not be included as part of your taxable estate. Most people don’t need to place their life insurance in a trust because Life Insurance Trusts can be expensive to form and create significant tax and legal ramifications.

      The initial death benefit should be around $130,000. You can ask the carrier to lower your initial death benefit, but they will probably only allow you to lower it by 25% per year. You can also switch indexes. If you are in the S&P 500 with a cap, I would ask the carrier what indexes are available. I would choose a volatility control index which is uncapped with a high participation rate. After the surrender period is over, you can do a 1035 exchange into a better IUL if you want.

People usually have a consistent premium but some people want to ramp up their premium over time because they feel they will be able to afford more in the future.

      Thank you for the reply😁. For an IUL can you structure it where there is no cap on your gains? Also I fully understand that an IUL is FEE heavy the first 5-7 years. I have no issue with that. Is it possible to pay those fees upfront? For example I want an IUL structured for max cash value and minimum death benefit. I want my premium to be $1,000 per month. Can initially start the IUL with an initial $40,000 lump sum to cover fees?

    If you have an IUL and grow it to 2 million dollars with a death benefit of $250000 then die prematurely what happens to the 2 million that you invested?

    This sounds like the old Whole life Insurance scam. Why should you have to pay interest on your own money if you take out a loan?

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady  Год назад +1

      The most common loan to take in an IUL is the Index/Participating loan. I'll give you an example of a policy I sell where if you had taken a loan last year, they would have charged you 4.75% for the loan, credited you back 16% so you would have made 11.25% on the money you loaned yourself. Positive arbitrage.

    With these life insurance policies, when you die, the insurance company pays the death benefit and keeps the cash value balance. Is this true?

    • @WealthProtectionLady

      Absolutely NOT! Your beneficiary will receive the cash value plus the death benefit.

      @@WealthProtectionLady cash value is included in the db. Is this not true? Or, are you saying the beneficiary will receive not only the db but also the cash value? Not sure I understand. So if my db is 370k and the cv is 150k are you saying my beneficiary will receive a total of 520k?

    Is it to late to buy IUL if you’re 59?

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady  3 года назад +1

      Hi, Hong! I do not recommend an IUL for people who are 60 or older who are looking to retire at 65 because the fees on an IUL are front loaded in the first 10 years; however, if you are looking to retire when you are 75, that's different.

    Far fetched to say contracts like IULs are bad because of bad agents when the contract is a mile thick full of variables the insurance company reserves the right to change along the way; not to mention the strong tie to market performance. Do not make the mistake of categorizing IUL as “safe” retirement fund. It’s really unfortunate I was on board until you pulled out IUL, especially without even mentioning the real type of account the wealthy, banks, and corporations actually use despite leading the audience to believe its IUL.

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady  3 года назад +14

      If you have an IUL structured for maximum agent commission, that is a bad IUL and a bad agent! The poor contract owner is then stuck with minimum cash accumulation.
      You grossly exaggerate variables. The actual crediting rate is subject to some combination of a floor, participation rate and a maximum cap. Typically, one or more of these elements are subject to change, whereas the others are contractually guaranteed. IULs are safe because your gains are locked in and there is a 0% floor so no losses. Not all IULs are created equal just like not all agents are created equal. I work with an uncapped IUL with a 115% par rate, a 185% multiplier and a guaranteed 2% crediting rate. The index is a volatility control index rebalanced daily. SAFE!
      I have no idea what kind of IUL is JUST for the wealthy, banks and corporations. There is no such IUL. It's all in the structuring and design of each individual IUL and it's owner's preferences.
