Trying Singapore SIGNATURE CHILLI CRAB! 🦀 | Singapore travel food vlog

- Day 2 in Singapore and our last day. For breakfast, we checked out the Hong Lim Market & Food Centre. We ate at Noodle King & Hong Xing Handmade Fishball Meatball Noodle Stalls. All the food options were hot, so we had to get an iced lemon tea at Wan Lim Tea Stall. It was affordable and delicious! We walked by Clark Quay, the buildings had a pastel theme going on. Next, we went to Fort Canning Park to get to the Tree Tunnel located at the bottom of the Park. It was extremely busy, and everyone wanted a photo there. Definitely not worth the wait. It was super hot in Singapore, so we had to stop by 7-11 to pick up a Coke Zero to cool down. We made our way back into Fort Canning Park to make our way to Tiong Bahru Bakery. They have a huge selection of Croissants and Pastries. Nice cafe/bakery for a break. For Dinner, we went to Holy Crab located in Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski. We heard that Singapore's Signature dish was Chili Crab. So it was definitely on the must-try list for tourists. It was super delicious and unique. You must order the Chili Crab with deep-fried mantous, so you can make little chili crab sandwiches! We highly recommend trying Chili Crab if you are in Singapore. Our Journey in Singapore was coming to an end. We finally made our way to the Jewel at Changi Airport. It was about to close when we got there. Luckily, we were able to get Salted Egg Yolk KFC before they closed. YUM. I wish they had that back in Canada. In the video maybe you can tell that we were getting super sleepy. We had to stay at the Airport overnight to get on our Japan flight at 4am.

I love eating crab and my top favourite sauce for the crab is actually salted egg york(creamy version, not the dry powder version). It can be another heaven with such combo.

Most shopping malls in Singapore have a supermarket in the basement. You should get your drinks and snacks from there. It's way cheaper than 7-eleven. A bottle of Ice Lemon Tea that you bought on the first day for $4.50 costs ard $1.65-$1.80 in supermarkets. There are also a number of air-con food courts in most shopping malls (either in basement or top floors) where you can enjoy local fare in comfort. There's also a number of facilities you can use for free and eateries inside the departure hall if the shops in Jewel are closed.

FYI the white noodle is rice noodles (kway teow). For Sgp’s humidity it’s better to just use cotton Tee Shirts. 👍
Clark Quay is pronounced as Clark Key. Sgp was formerly a British colony.
Mud crab is used in the chilli crab n one of the best chilli crab restaurant is Jumbo Restaurant that has many overseas outlets. Hope you both had a good time in Sgp n hope to see again in Sgp soon. Byeeee!!

For Thailand we didn't eat at air con places much; a lot of street stalls. We liked the cha siu from Kams Roast.
But i highly recommend doing a cooking class! It was fun and we learned how to cook several authentic thai dishes!

Drinks downtown are usually pricier, especially air-conditioned malls. Even locals try not to order those when we dine there, but most locals won't normally dine there though. The outskirts/heartlands have more affordable foods which are about the same quality, if not even better.
Definitely want to try what is popular with the locals as a tourist. 😁

The best type of mangrove mud crab and most expensive in Singapore is the Sri Lankan crab. In my opinion then comes Vietnamese and the Indonesian/Malaysian crab.
