I'm really liking the vibrant colours in Tour. Also is it using the SNES music for it? I would've thought they'd use the DS theme since I think it uses it on Choco Island.
It's weird that Choco Island 1/2 in MKT even uses the DS version of the theme in the first place, given that all the Mario Circuit tracks use the Wii version (which is basically the same as the SNES original, but with very slight changes) and all the Donut Plains tracks use the original theme. Even though all three are featured in MKDS. And for some weird reason, they neither used the 64/Wii/MK7 nor the MK8 version of the MK64 Raceway theme for N64 Royal Raceway and instead remixed the theme once again.
Vanilla lake also sounds like it's directly from SNES (I mean, it's the first time it comes back I think) but with something added that I can't really quite tell
MK Tour is surprising me recently for adding half decent retro tracks instead of crappy world tour tracks. Wonder if MK7's remake of DS Airship Fortress will make the cut sometime soon. There are bigger tracks in game and since MKT is based off MK7 I'm surprised they haven't ported it already
@@cakelayer its already dead in all honesty. I can see the developers making an effort to keep things more interesting by adding different retro tracks (porting MK8s version of N64 Royal Raceway and Koopa Troopa Beach 2 which had its last official release in DS) but at this point the damage has been done. The other titles are still far superior imo
Ignoring the custom tracks, I feel as if the MK Tour version is too bright. To me there was a certain charm to the greyness the first three interpretations had. Though this doesn't stop it from continuing to be one of my favorite tracks in the series.
I used to play DS over ten years ago. Just entered Sunshine Tour of MKT and the first cup having this track is R/T so I couldn't recognise this is actually one of the track in DS, until I googled for it because the music has made me so familiar and nostalgic.
@@Larry98 all the the ds retro tracks (maybe except for the GCN ones and GBA bowser's castle) are not funny like nitro tracks and them aren't full of details like nitro tracks

@@sirnuma24 SNES Mario Circuits use the MK7 version, that's why they sound slightly different than the Wii version

for the contrary, i play mario kart tour for the new track, not the same shitty boring snes tracks from 30 years ago, this game is dying
