Speaking about bergamot oil (as well as other citrus oils), if you prone to melasma and hyperpigmentation, products with citrus oils are a big no-no during the day, it can trigger pigmentation, so be aware! Sometimes you can find them even in Korean spfs
Your alternatives are way better than those overpriced products that underdeliver. You really know your stuff. I'm def subscribing and I'm going on to part 2 now!
The stratia vitamin c, make sure you give it a good couple of minutes to settle in before you add another layer or it will pill like crazy (or I just use it as my last step and enjoy the super beautiful velvet finish it leaves)
I love when you break down the skin products like you did right now!! It’s super important for me to know which ingredients I’m using with my products! Please another videos like this!! ❤
Hi Kelly! I’m a new subscriber. Just wanted to let you know I enjoy your channel very much, and your passionate sincere delivery style just makes your contents a lot more appreciated by me. Thank you for being such an awesome content creator! ❤
Oooh thank you for reviewing stratia c+c serum! I've been eyeing it as a gentle vitamin c serum option but wasn't sure because of some of the online reviews, even though I love a bunch of stratia and use it every day. It's always great to hear your thoughts!
Wow so much needed information in this video. Thank you Kelly.❤I’m learning so much from you. When you speak on ingredients and what they do for our skin, that’s the indication for me that I need this ingredient so therefore I need the product that you’re highlighting. So you see, I can’t tell you what else I need to see in your videos. Unless you have some ideas of how to lift my hooded eyes. Thanks Kelly. Keep doing what you’re doing and I’ll see you in the next video.😊
Awesome video as always! I love Protini by Drunk Elephant and while $68 isn't the worst, I'm curious if you have a K-Beauty dupe. Your videos are always so thorough - I love them!
Oh thanks for the suggestion! I've did try that one a few years ago but the texture reminds me a lot of the new Skin1004 Probio-Cica cream. I'll definitely need to look at ingredients of protini, will add to my list!
@@bonnechancecc6568 you're welcome 🙂. I loved it (fair disclosure, i've never used the Protini), but went through it very quickly since i have super dry skin.
Cocokind turmeric illuminating solution is an amazing product with a ton of beneficial ingredients . AND they have all the percentages listed. My favorite product hands down
Would love to see more videos like these! Dupes for Sachi Skin Ursolic Acid & Retinal Reform and their Pro Resilience Serum would be amazing :) And separately, wondering if you might have a recommendation for a lightweight, super comfy, fragrance-free mineral sunscreen for someone with sensitive/rosacea-prone skin? Thank you Kelly!
I'm like get a candle if u want aroma therapy while u do your skincare 🤣 just cause I'm allergic and I found out in a weird way I'm allergic to bergamot oil so I stay away from all of it Incase cause I don't ever want to go threw that reaction again. O I got the safe me toner and I'm loving it I have slammed threw a quarter of the bottle already using it layering it and making the target sheet mask . I found a perfect cotton square that doesn't soak up product and it stays wet forever their called Beejong perium 2 in one cotton pads 2 in one Sponge kind and a thin one I actually been using the spong one and it works amazing cause I didn't realize their was 2 kinds in the box till the other day they are like 3.90 on Amazon
I really enjoyed this video! I started my k-beauty journey with most of Dr Jart’s products so this brings back memories. I then realized that while I did love the brand, there were much cheaper alternatives out there. I enjoyed their tiger grass serum and gel cream a lot though. I have the Purito serum in my closet waiting to be opened after I finish another serum haha I am curious if you have a Tatcha Dewy Cream dupe. I got it as a Christmas gift and fell in love with it but would love to know if you have tried something similar.
I am using up my Good Genes and I'm also using occasionally, the Peach and Lily's Lactic Acid. Peach and Lily's is very good...But I actually enjoy the smell (I currently have iron skin) and Good Genes makes my skin look so good. However going forward, it will be Peach and Lilys.. Unfortunately The Ordinary's 10% Lactic Acid does nothing for my skin.
I am currently using Good Genes 3x a week plus it’s Luna oil. My skin never looked this good. My textured skin looks smoother and softer. It’s expensive and I’ve tried the Ordinary but it didn’t work for me..I wish it did😞 Check Macys when it’s on sale. I got a really good deal on both products and they last a long time. Love kbeauty products as well, especially their sunscreens and essences.
I love how you're not bigoted with ingredients. I wish more content creators were like you. Hate it so much when some skinfluencers demonize ingredients like alcohol for example as if they're propagating objective fact. My skin personally LOVES alcohol.
The dr jart and purito is definitely not dupes drt jart serum is superior it calms my skin super fast literally from one application i can see a difference, i beleive dupe is not only abt ing similarities but also performance, i am broke asf still cant let go of my dr jart serum (this is just my personal opinion from my own experience)
I resisted buying the Good Genes for so long because of the price and also the shady business practices by Sunday Riley (still sketchy to me). But I finally caved and I have to say it’s worth the hype because I can notice the difference on my skin when I use it. I ordered through QVC because they had a better price but it still hurt to plunk down that much $ 😂
I feel the same way. It’s so expensive, but I haven’t been able to find a true affordable dupe. It just does something amazing to your skin. Sometimes sephora has 2 in a kit, and if you can buy it during the sale, then it’s not as crazy expensive
It really is amazing. I just finished the last of the product today. I’m wondering what else we can add to The Ordinary’s product to make up for the other ingredients.
I dn't get why Dr Jart is so expensive. When you look at the ingredients, they tend to be full of essential oils and other random things, with the actual key ingredients like centella, ceramides etc. always at the bottom of their list. Hence I am not a fan of their products, the actives and goodies are just too low on the list, while the bulk of the product is just oils.... it should be the other way around especially for that price. The brand is a total waste of money imo, as far as K Beauty is concerned anyway

don’t citrus oils contain vitamin c, and vitamin c can help with melasma, hyperpigmentation, etc?
@me oh nono. Citrus oils increase sun sensitivity probably because of the irritation it causes. You can look up bergamot oil and phototoxicity
@@fjp9 no, it’s definitely things, citrus oils and L-ascorbique acid, vit C
@@ggasmr yes, bergamot oil is actually one of the worst

Yes, definitely another video like this. You are 100% right. Spending a lot of money is not necessary. Just need to know your ingredients 👍
