He originally made the song slower but he couldn’t sing it without crying so he made it more upbeat. He is the purest soul, it shows in all his songs. My favorite is believer that he wrote for his wife❤

Oh my goodness. You are in for a treat following Guy. His songs are beautifully deep, musically beautiful and sung with a superb voice. This song was a tribute to his friend and colleague Luke, who took his life. The video for this song right at the end shows Guy’s son and Luke’s son standing together. So moving.
Guy Sebastian is huge in Australia, he has had some success in the USA when he did a duet with Lupe Fiasco, Battle scars! All of his songs are great. His voice is phenomenal and songs usually have a deeper meaning.

This song was written for his close mate and band member who committed suicide. Guy has phenomenal vocal talent and is also a very talented musician and songwriter. His acoustic performance of Battle Scars is probably his best ever followed closely by his performance of Standing with You on the Voice (where he is a judge).

I then mentioned his best performances, one of which was on the voice where he is a judge. His success as a judge has absolutely nothing at all to do with his performance or anything else I said. Your reply was extremely insensitive and you’ve realised that and are now trying to defend yourself. It is not working.

Sadly his friend took his own life guy done interview on it to bring it in the public arena
He also wrote one for his wife who suffers depression the song

Just a couple of points 😊 … He wrote Believer for his wife and Standing With You for a relative suffering depression. The Battle Scars song was brilliantly performed in his home studio as a tribute for the Anzacs, but not written for them. He’s tremendously talented isn’t he? Songs are so emotional that we can all relate.

Guy won the first ever AUSTRALIAN IDOL so he is a big thing in Australia
