What It's Like Owning 2 Cars!

- Here are some of my thoughts on what it's like to have two vehicles. I own a 2011 BMW 335i E92 and a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK Limited package. Having two cars definitely has it's advantages, but there are some shortfalls as well.

I watch a lot of your videos and you inspirer me a lot with my Jeep. I looking to buy a bmw but I don’t make that much money any good suggestions?
Very helpful insight. I think about the benefits of getting another car, but financial troubles shys me away.... Probably just get another very old car and not get that "show" car most guys would splurge on.... I just want backup!
You could also combine best of both worlds by getting a BMW X5M or X3 XDrive, and maintain just 1 car
I have a 2006 Audi A4 B7 and a 2006 Mercedes R500. I had the Mercedes before the pandemic started. Gas prices jumped and inflation happened so I opted to get a car with a smaller engine. I love my Mercedes so I won't get rid of it. I have kids, so when we need to take a trip as a family, we can do so comfortably. Plus if I need a truck or a van, my R class will be there when I need it. My Audi is raced as well. Basically I have a very comfortable family car, and a race car.
At one time I owned two cars, a 2002 Jeep Liberty and a 1979 Triumph Spitfire. I put less than 5000 miles on the spitfire in 11 years before I sold it to a buddy. I didn’t drive it enough, but when I did I loved it. It was garaged and never saw rain, snow, salt, etc. I did drive the spitfire more when the Jeep was in the body shop for a couple weeks. I miss having two cars, but next time, if it happens at all, I would be looking for a Honda Civic beater for the daily stop and go driving, while the SUV would be for everything else. But that IF it happens at all is a big IF. The finances are a bigger deal now than 20 years ago when I had two.

I never drive it. I am thinking about selling it. Whats ur opinion? I bought the Gladdy with 6 miles on it and now it has 12k miles on it, less then 9 months, while I put 3800 miles on the Masi in almost 2 years. I am trying to be smart about this. TIA
I have 2010 Nissan Titan pro4x 4x4 and soon I will buy Toyota Camry 2020 .... I will keep both car , I live in Chicago and winter time the 4x4 can help me at lot

Yeah I live where it snows bad and you’re 20 min out from anywhere so I have a lifted truck for the winter’s but I really want a car for the summer’s that’s cheap on gas because you have to drive miles for fun bs with friends. And I’m single and live alone so when my truck is in the shop it’s impossible to get rides to work. So I’m contemplating on getting a second car any thoughts?
Maybe you should try the bmw made mini cooper s (the R53) :)
Well I'm in the UK and love having 2 cars just for peace of mind if 1 car needs to go to the garage for MOT/Service I still have a back up

Thanks for this video! I've been thinking about getting a second car for the longest time. I have a 2011 civic that I bought new, my first car ever. A few years go by and it's now paid off, but now that I've gotten into cars I want more of a drivers car. Ideally I would just have one FRS or something, but it's still around $18,000 used and I would take a big depreciation hit on the civic. My only realistic option is a used miata. I'm thinking NC for safety reasons, even though insurance is more expensive than the NA/NB. An NC with higher miles only costs $6-8k. Plus they're reliable. Insurance on two cars is the main thing that is making me think twice.
+David Stefanowicz I think a used frs is a good choice as a sportier car that's cheaper to maintain. Hondas don't depreciate as bad as other brands so maybe the depreciation hit is doable. Save up!
