As a Linux user I'm on a completely different train as far as photo/video editing goes. Not that smooth of a train to be fair, but still… But as an old hardware resuscitator geek, I completely agree with your "good is whatever does a good job" philosophy! Can't wait for your audio editing serie!
I am working on PCs since 40 years and I experienced the same: From time to time there get software released which "dies out" but leaves a gap because other products don't feel the same or don't cover exactly what this defunct software did. I always try to keep these programs alive (sometimes with ancient hardware like your G4 Mac) as long as possible. The disadvantage is, I have now a computer museum at home.
I like the idea of a "stand up" work station. Easy on the back and really humans are made to stand rather than sit . Thanks for sharing your cool stuff Markus. You really do inspire people.
I know NewTek from the famous NewTek Demo Reel 01 for the Amiga a millennium ago. They made a multi media demo with short video parts, pictures, sound, speech and Music "Paranoimia" by Art of Noise. It was distributed/shared/copied on floppy-disc and somewhere between mind blowing and live changing at that time.
What a beautiful fun looking home Markus, well used and packed full of nice stuff that actually gets used! Literally everywhere stuff to see and play with. Not just a showroom, love it.
I must say, I'm not into studio tour videos and all. But your tour you did some time ago, is just next level. My dream studio. And now, also enjoyed this one with the computers. Cool stuff. Until a few months ago, I only had a macbook from 2012 heheh
@@MarkusPix Your studio is my absolute dream, I keep it as a reference and goal. The bunker and all, that it seems , it might become more and more handy by the day heheh
I do all my 3D and 4K live streaming in a $300 computer. Know your gears and you can do amazing things. Yep, I used all those software Marcus, good old days! Don’t sale or give away… nostalgia
Water level on that Titan PCs are quite low. I'd recommend to either to take them to titan computer to clean water cooling loop and replace with fresh coolant. That I9 are 10 cores not 20. (Of course if works well that's fine) Those 8TB m.2 SSDs are very bad for transfer many data. It's QLC Memory that is not that fast. especially when drive is full. For Custom workstation i can recommend Puget Systems.
Oh just give it away Markus. Send that picture of the mountain with the lady in the foreground. I really only want the picture for the cool mountain look.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ha! I knew before starting the video that it was going to be way bigger and better (and more expensive) than my ring-dink setup. I'm impressed as always.
Cool rig that lasts a really long time as it is 6 years old now. The processor is just a little slower than a AMD 5600X processor today. Amazing how things change with technology. Proof that it doesnt matter how fast of a computer you have but what matters is your work ethic and who is the one doing the work!
Hey, that was fun like getting a personal invite over to see what Markus uses for computers. Just like you said, whatever works for you is good enough for me.
Some future video ideas: Markuspix puts the new Maxed out mac studio M1 Ultra with 20 core against his best machines! Side by side comparisons. The Mac Studio is small, you just need a monitor and an extension cord. Love the videos!
I'm here to tell you, you seem like a really nice and pleasant person, I enjoy your videos not because I like equipments, in fact, I'm what you might call a minimalist kinda, but I watch these videos cause you bring such positive vibes man, hope the best for you, from the Middle East
Amazing!!! More power there than NASA... lol... ok maybe not but don't let my wife see this, or she will want one for her channel editing... WOW!!! Great video Markus and Cara. 20 cpu's, all I-9's crazy cool!
Guau, I do love your house tours. Interesting you are “adobe guy”... Could you make a video about how do you organice all your files?. As soon you inspired me to go and take pictures, it became a mess in my hard drive!!
Nice setup! And all those lenses!! OMG!! I never wished to be like somebody else. And I still don't. But I wish more people would be as nice as you are. You inspire others. While many focus on your financials (yeah, look how much money he has) many focus on the kind of person you are. So, again, thank you for sharing. looking forward to that audio series.
You are a REALLY different photographer/videographer. Your clothing, lifestyle and home surroundings are way beyond normal. However, I've watched every single one of your videos and have gained information from each.
I'm kind of surprised, I thought for sure Markus would be more of a computer enthusiast and built his own computer. I wonder if Markus knows about unreal engine 5 and photogrammetry? With all those cameras that he has and all those hand built miniatures he could easily scan them and import them into 3D software.
Markus, do you have any interest in exploring in camera VFX, or Virtual Production? Specifically the tracking of the camera and virtual sets and dynamic lighting systems.
fantastic videos, just recently found your channel, since I had a bad accident at work, amazing kit, amazing and very interesting guy love all your videos there very informative, puts my samsung tab s6 in its place 🤣🤣🤣, keep up the good work your very entertaining and I'm learning a lot 👌
..starting to learn Blender..love the phylosofy of their dutch creator, who gave it out for free, and rivalizes with autodesk.. ..from yesterday to today, watched some videos of you both, and as i said before, love to all mankind and even being paraphlegic and broke..i don't want any giveaway.. .. i don't care if it sounds cheesy to even mention the word "love" because i like to spread and leave love where i like, and it is for the 99% of good people of this planet.. but of course, all subscribers are included, yourself Markus and Cara, as well all future generations!
How do you clean up and dust off all that? There is so much delicate stuff everywhere. You need to hire a team of forensic investigators to do that without breaking something 😜
Perfect for NEW Ronin D4 6k affordable cinema camera....Ideal candidate for a review??...interested to listen your opinion .....your film making background . Thanks MotR
My wife complains at how much room I take with my photography career…I showed her your sprawl. I hope she never mentions my equipment or tiny computer/server/ office ever again 🤣
Had the chance to try Carrara in the past, and most of 3d softwares. But I am stuck with maya . I thought you are the kind of the person who would use blender these days. Not sure why!
Don't give away the tricaster that still is a really nice bit of kit. I have an old switching system based that just predated the Tricaster. On Audio The question is are you Protools shop or have you stopped paying through the nose & switched to Reaper? Also do use the IZotope range. They have just switched to a software as service model which is stupidly cheap.
20 processors really means 20 threads. This is 1 processor with 10 cores, which with hyperthreading translates to 20 threads. That's 20 "virtual processors". In reality, that's 1 Intel i9 processor. My Mac Pro for example has 2 processors. 2 physical processors in 2 physical sockets. They have 6 cores each, which translates to 12 threads. Applications see 12 processors, but in reality, that's 2 processors. Hope this helps :)
Good News ! Everything you love about your Sony A7-3 has now gotten better - The Sony A7-4 is being released soon ! 1.The new A7-4 has faster/better Autofocusing. 2.Better in low light 3. Higher Resolution 4. Flip out Screen 5. And much more I was looking to purchase a Sony A9ii but, this New Sony A7-4 looks much better as it can take better video as well as better still images.
Those are some nice looking computers. I have just one question.. How do you keep everything dust free? As someone who attaches shelves to most walls in order to keep the floors free of clutter and simple to vacuum, I almost had a panic attack when I saw all your battery chargers on the floor under the desk filled with cameras!
I love this guy because no matter what, he's just a kid at heart. We should all aspire to this.
Absolutely! Markus is a very special human being. Makes me feel old and grouchy ... and I am his age. I aspire to be more like him.
Agree
yes!
Every time I watch Markus I think of Peter Pan.
His passion is infectious.
I am not sure why this channel does not have a million subs. The wealth of "honest" knowledge you provide is priceless.
Hi tech. You are like the popular mechanics, pc magazine, and popular photography all in one. Impressive.
Watching your videos is a completely enjoyable experience...
"I love pretty colors!" I love you dude!!!
As someone who's been building their own computer since the early 90s, when you talked about your Titan computer specs I wanted to cry 👌🤓🤓
Have decided to try my hand at script writing and filming short films. I very much appreciate this gentleman’s channel as a resource!
The voice of reason..."Give it away,Markus"...dig it,man! Love these two for sharing so much!

Markus is really a humble genius! I think his tough childhood made him grounded and humble despite his immense talent!
What a beautiful fun looking home Markus, well used and packed full of nice stuff that actually gets used! Literally everywhere stuff to see and play with. Not just a showroom, love it.
I had a Video Toaster system back in 1990. Back when NewTek was in Topeka, Kansas. I just used it for my Wedding Videos back then.
Thanks Markus , I enjoyed the peak into your computers 🙂 . Nice filming Cara ‼️
Your passion and love for life from your deep heart is so beautiful to witness 😃
Very cool systems!!! Thanks for behind the curtain look!
Awesome setup and thanks for sharing!

You know what Markus, you can say whatever you want. It's all good.
Does Markus Game? Lol I can totally imagine him playing some COD on that Alienware. Crazy set up
Please make a video about THE OLD MAC G4, and the OLD PROGRAMS!

Well as you can see, there are 20 cores working, so there must be two i9s or something
10 physical cores, and another 10 virtual cores. So the OS will show 20 Processor threads.
You are the most interesting man on the internet. So many things, done so well.
Oh just give it away Markus. Send that picture of the mountain with the lady in the foreground. I really only want the picture for the cool mountain look.🤣🤣🤣🤣
