Definitely do more of these comparison videos. Should be a new series. Also, I completely agree with this comparison. I'd go with the X as well...I don't like the tight/structured fit and prefer the softer/padded upper the X provides. I still respect those that would chose the Mercurials though...probably the best PURE speed boot out there.

I loved the x16+ boots and then got the new vapors as of recent and loved the grip and the feel was nice but the completely broke apart in one short season
Was in a shop just today to try those new X's and unfortunately it just doesn't fit my feet :( The vapor is top notch...

They're both excellent boots, it's just a matter of what type of fit and feel that you're looking for. I wouldn't say that one is a better value.
Is the fit comperable to the 17.1? I tried those one time and it was horrible but the X18.1 look so much differnt...

Have you seen the new concave boots made out of knit material?
Does the vapor 12 allow you to have space in between your toes or are your toes pushed together with no space in between them ?
They're tighter fitting boots, but the width and volume of the toe box is wider than it was on the previous generation Mercurials.

Random question. Will Nike add the self lacing technology in football boots? What ur thought on this?
Given how bulky the only shoe that has that tech is, I would think it's unlikely. That's not to say that they won't figure out a way to make it less bulky down the line, but there's nothing about a boot that laces itself that would be beneficial to the overall performance at all. Implementing that tech would only make for more weight, more bulk and some kind of a hard spot on the boots, which are all things you don't want.

Yes. They're technically FG/AG.
If I really like the x16+ Purechaos boots would us suggest the new x? I also have been using the newest Nike Tiempos and loving them.
The new X 18.1 is great, but it's a fair bit different in comparison to the X 16+.

I don't think either one if better when it comes to overall performance. At least the difference isn't significant enough to say that one is clearly a better performing boot.

I don't think they're bad, but I don't think they're as good as the two boots in this video. They wouldn't be near the top of my list if I was on the market for some speed boots.

Hey josh is it normal that my adidas x18.1 would stretch more on my right foot then on my left foot
One foot is typically bigger than the other, the difference being more extreme with some people, so it's much more likely that one shoe feels bigger for that reason.
Soccer Reviews For You ya not saying its a bad thing i just have a little more room in the toebox when the laces are tied tight, and after wearing these boots all i have to say is wow they are one of the most comfortable boots I’ve worn strait out of the box.

The durability of the sole plate from the Vapor sucks I’ve had the Superfly for 2 1/2 months and they are breaking off already
