I think being a formidably equipped ground force is something we should strive for continuously, we don't ever want to lose this capability, while there is still good training doctrine and infrastructure to keep our soldiers in the game. But I think air assets should be priority and pilot training and incentive, as this is another thing in the CAF and RCAF that is fading but is probably the biggest deterrent of any opposing military that doesn't have the ICBM card, i mean aside from a nuclear submarine fleet with both hunter killer and ballistic capability. It's tough because there are so many tiers of defense that are needed when talking about peer 2 peer confrontation and so many more advantages a larger peer has to negate them. First step is to stop politicizing military procurement and stop using it as a political platform, it is destroying our capabilities. They need to start combing our Heathcare system like they do with the military, the massive expenditure that is failing, im not saying get rid of it because when it does, it helps Canadians, but there is clearly a bloat, yet a severe lack of care.
