I never upgraded Knowhere at all except Nova and I’m so glad I did that. I have a jacked up S6 and Sup6 and they ended up being the better option for the scourge trial anyway in the long run so
Knowhere is bad. You basically use them to stand there and soak dmg so Nova can kill everyone else. Only one that has slight use is Korg bcs he can come back and soak more dmg.
Knowhere is only worth upgrading if you actually care about war. I don't so i just upgraded them to a useable level but i did max out Nova cause he is useful in crucible and dark dimension.

Deathpool makes no sense on mercs for money. She has nothing in her kit that benefits mercs for money. Everything is specifically for new warriors
My war leaders would be pissed if I used M4M on XX.
I did a 2.3milluon puncup with M4M on a SD dorm
I did a 3,5m punch up on skrull/sd and apoc with a 2m m4m

Nova is the only good character. I only upgraded the others because they were required for one of the trail events.
Hand, Hydra, AIM should be the 3 teams to be upgraded. Also Hero's 4 Hire

Rule of thumb in this game is: If the only reason to grow the team is for war offense or war defense, don't do it.

Rule of thumb: if it’s not a meta game breaking character, it won’t have a shelf life longer than 6 months

I think you can swap Daken with Gwenpool to get double charges on Deathpool each turn.
