Thanks for doing a review on these shoes! i got these a little over a week ago in a 10.5 (TTS) and they are snug but bearable. Despite being hard to put on...i really like the style of these sneaker boots. I wrote a review on the nike website but for some reason it didnt appear there. Went back to look after watching your video and now it says "THE PRODUCT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE"...sold out?
R L I returned mine and ordered the white and black ones from stock X a half size up hopefully they work a better. The 8.5 which was my size was very TTS so idk how comfortable they would’ve been on a long hike fitting that tight. Hopefully this size 9 works. I found a trick that makes them easier to put on tho. If you turn the boot 90 degrees so that the opening is lined up with your foot. It made it way easier for me to slip them on! Try it let me know if it works for you.
@@KRTLyfe thanks for the tip! It made it a little easier 👍. I'm happy for you that you got the white ones. Wish I could get those for retail. But I'm happy with all black for retail price. Let me know how half a size goes for you...if its enough or should go a full size up.
Update: Nike app restocked the black midnight and summit white colorway! Returned mine for summit white full size up. Fingers crossed about the sizing.

Gortex trench is super thin but it blocks wind and cold I need these sneakers

HiGenie thanks for watching and subscribing. Yep we try to respond to everyone! That is an interesting shoe I have something very similar it’s TNF thermoball Mule. I’ve worn them in -5 on a mountain they work really well!
I’m not an avid hiker, but bought a pair pair Of Adidas Terrex Free Hiker for my Italy trip. We were in Cinque Terre and did the hike and man was I pleasantly surprised with them. I almost rolled my ankle a few times and felt that the shoe stabilized my foot and saved me a few times. They have an update version with gore-tex. Maybe give those a try. Make sure you get the pair with the boost midsole. Amazing.

I bought these after obsessing over them. They were uncomfortable in the toe area and aren’t actually waterproof 🤦🏽♂️. I gotta know though, I’m guessing she’s either German or Norwegian based on her accent.
Ghost NineEight did you go half size up? I had to so that I could wear them with thicker socks. We actually submerged 3 pairs of these boots up to the ankle for several minutes none of them leaked(it was 40 degress outside so I definitely would’ve felt a leak!) if your pair leaks I would return it under Nike’s 30 day warranty. The wife is from Ukraine. Good guess tho. Thanks for watching! 💯

Hey bro I’ve lived my whole life in Texas and me and my wife are planning a trip to new Mexico Taos in Jan for skiing are these nikes good for day to day use in the snow for a week I am interested in them since when I get back home they are a very versatile shoe! Thanks great content
astroboi254 these are good but currently out of stock check out the adidas GTX boots or the Salewa GTX boots. Depending on what size you need I got a size 9 in white that I only wore in the house for sale on EBay.

How’s the footbed? Are these flat like chucks or do they dip downwards from heel to toe? Just trying to figure out how stable they are.
allbluesberto they don’t have a aggressive drop at all if they have any. They feel very flat to me.
Dude just get some Danners and put a really good insole in 'em.
Joey Guerrero never liked Danners they start to look funny as they break in. Didn’t like them when I was in the military and still don’t like them as a civilian. I wore the Corcoran Marauder when I was in, loved that boot.
This shoe is like impossible to get in store it's 2021 and still can't find them.
Yeah you have to go on Stock X, GOAT or some other 2nd party site.

tim co I would go a half size bigger in general. Especially if you are going to use this boot during the winter with thicker socks.

@@KRTLyfe I'm not sure which part was confusing, but I'll take a guess.
You said one shoe was x pounds, then right after, the other shoe was x ounces.
If you want to use a unit that isn't universal or even logical, just say both weights in ounces or pounds? Then they're at least somehow comparable.
Esa Edvik at 5:38 we measure TNF boot 16 ounces = 1 pound/ the boot weighed 1 pound 3 ounces therefore TNF boot weighed 19 ounces or 1 pound 3 ounces. The Nike ACG boot was at 5:48 it tipped the scale at a whooping 14.5 ounces
The Salewa boot 6:09 was 1pound 8 ounces or 24 ounces. In conclusion ACG was almost half the weight of the Salewa. Hopefully that clears up any confusion. And obviously this can be converted to metric. TNF boot is 538.641 Grams the ACG would be 411.0681 grams and the Salewa would be 680.389 grams. Feel free to check my maths and correct us if we are wrong. Thanks again for watching and commenting
@@KRTLyfe The confusion wasn't that I was unable to Google how many ounces is one pound. Just that comparisons shouldn't be done like that if you want to reach more than just Americans. Sorry if I'm being rude and pedantic. It just hit a nerve :) Thanks for the clarification though.
Esa Edvik I’m first generation American origin Bangladesh and my wife is from Ukraine so we kinda see where you are coming from but if I had an object that was 1kg and I was comparing it to an object that was idk maybe 600g is it inappropriate to say this is 1kg and this one weights 600g?
Could you use these for backpacking?
I would say they are worth a shot but I can’t say for sure with out personally putting these to the ultimate test how well they would do.

Its kinda hard to find them retail now. I’ve seen some on EBay. Ive sold mine and now use the Adidas Terrex free hikers. I actually like them better than the Nike. I will be reviewing them soon.

@@DJSHAQT I agree, the Free hikers are easier to put on and are easier to wear. They are really durable as well. I have a pair that I use for hiking and camping and they still look brand new.

It’s not a boot ... I know most sites list this shoe as cross trainer an Nike later changed it to a cross trainer/ lifestyle shoe
What would you consider the Nike SFB? I wore them in uniform and we always called them boots lol. These fit kinda like that too me.
@@KRTLyfe the Nike sfb is a boot sfb means special field boot I wear them for wrk everyday but the acg terra is listed as a cross trainer acg or all conditions gear is never fully meant for use in all cases it’s more of a lifestyle shoe if anything..

IMHO this boot/sneaker hybrid is more than a lifestyle shoe. When I think life style shoe I think Nike Killshot , CP Achilles, Stan Smiths etc. I personally wouldn’t lump these in that category. To do so would be a bit misleading IMHO but hey, what do I know.
I had the first Gen SFB sage green with the free run type sole. When they came out initially we were not allowed to wear them in uniform because they hadn’t been approved. I’m guessing because of the hybrid nature of the “boots”. When I separated all types of variations of “boots” were allowed in uniform. Let’s be honest tho it’s a sneaker with a jungle boot style upper. The ACG is even more boot ish to me.

Have you read the reviews? They are hilarious!!! The material doesn’t stretch and doesn’t open very much. Once they are on your feet they are good but getting them on is definitely difficult.
And... you might want to check the sizing these run small just FYI good luck!
