    WETA-TV is the PBS member television station licensed to Washington D.C, the capital of the United States. Launched on 2nd October 1961, the station is owned by the Greater Washington Educational Telecommunications Association and is a sister station to National Public Radio (NPR) member WETA (90.9 FM). Both outlets share studios in nearby Arlington County, Virginia. They have produced programs that are distributed nationally by PBS, which include the PBS NewsHour, Washington Week, many of the Ken Burns documentaries, and A Capitol Fourth.
