I'm contemplating getting this journal and I really appreciate your great video on describing it. Thanks so much for explaining it in such a clear and concise way!
It’s pretty neat! They’ve added in 2 new themes since this video too! A magic academy (Harry Potter vibes) journal and a space themed (kind of Star Wars vibes) journal. And they now ship internationally! 😃
Debating on getting this journal. I find I'm caught up with the idea and illustrations and wanted to learn more to see if I would actually purchase the journal to use or would it end up sitting around on a shelf- which I don't want. Currently looking up reviews and more information. Thank you for making this video (I haven't seen the unboxing one you mentioned); I found this highly informative with highly practical information. Side note, I really appreciate your calmness and comfortability of sharing the journal.
I'm glad this video was helpful to you! And thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement! If you do end up purchasing it, I hope you like it and that you'll have success with the goals you're pursuing! :)
i love the concept of this journal because it helps us with our progression in life giving us a strong internal motivation! i personally love the ally/threats section, its a great reminder of the things we face and the great allies we have! if I were to use the book, i would use it to improve my language skills! social connections is one of the most powerful things in this world!
I love this concept. But right now is a tough time for me to aim for any goals in terms of steps to accomplish. I tend to pile on small goals or priority tasks anyway as a checklist. It seems a waste of this beautiful journal just for my to-dos. I will heavily consider and follow on IG for future thoughts. I think I'm just attracted to journaling but could actually ease up on what I expect myself to do. A lot of things I can't do right now aren't due to lack of prep and tasks but circumstances beyond my control. So marking down might feel like recording my obstacles versus my constant effort and hope things will allow the world to change. They are gorgeous and inspiring for people doing projects to keep on task though.
If you’re just wanting a list of to-dos, Bloom Daily Planners has some that are just for that! :) But also with this Hero’s Journal, you might benefit from it being undated and listing no more than 3 tasks each day so you don’t overwhelm yourself. I have a video about setting goals during uncertain times, if you think that might be helpful to you :)
This is such a cool journal! I tend to create super long lists for myself as well, and I've been trying to separate a few important ones to focus on each day so I'm not as overwhelmed. I started a bullet journal this year, but maybe I'll consider getting a Hero's Journal in the future!
My favorite part about it being undated is that it doesn't make you feel guilty for missing a day, and you don't have any empty pages when you do either.
So cute and cool....if you can get by with a calendar on the wall for the month/week views...this would be perfection, but alas I need to have all 3 in a planner...hoping maybe by the 3rd edition, they'll have that too somehow as well as offering a printable version of it all for those of us who prefer ringed binders. The art really is cute and the quotes are awesome...almost worth getting it for those aspects alone...almost.
I agree; that would be great if they had a page (or a few pages) of the whole month so you can get a birds eye view and plan ahead. They do have a printable version though! :D It's in their digital bundle.
This looks so fun and flexible enough for someone like me - I have a goal, but I planning a bunch of tasks doesn't work for me. Themes do and I feel this is good for a non-lineal, spontaneous thinker/doer like me. I do love the idea of writing a story as I am a part-time copywriter. I think I'll give it a try. For me, so much of achieving goals is free-form. Not a to-do list person at all.
Hi! Did you end up trying it? I hope it works well for you! My guess is it would be especially helpful for those who like having more freedom and flexibility :)
@@TheReelAnna Well I am very jealous of your skills! I'm considering buying this journal, and I wanted to create an avatar of my adventurer to feel even more connected with the story.
@@shockhead06 Aw thank you! That means a lot! Well if you're interested in that kind of style I drew mine in, we could work something out for creating a custom avatar for you. :) You can email me here: anna@thereelanna.com
Is there a specific song? I think I used a few. I can go check my edit file to find out the song names if you’d like. 🙂 I’m pretty sure I got them all from RUclips’s free archive
It’s built for one goal, but there could be creative ways around it for maybe 2-3 goals 🙂 Or some people might switch to a different goal midway through their journal.
HI Anna, Do you think that this journal would be safe for and interested a 10 year old (girl)? Sorry that this comment is pretty dated now. Christmas is coming up and I that this might be nice as a gift.
It’s safe 🙂 I share some of the pages in the video, in case you missed it. I can’t really speak into if she’d be interested since I don’t know her and what she specifically likes, but I can say 10 year old me would have loved it. I’d probably say yes if she’s into things like goal setting already, but if not then this might not be the best fit because all of the pages are about working toward a goal. I hope that helps a little
@@TheReelAnna Very helpful. She’s not goal setting yet but this could be the thing to introduce her to it. She likes reading, writing, and stories. If she doesn’t use it my wife and I will. Thanks for spending your time to respond. Much appreciated.
@@coryb1441 That sounds like a great idea to me! 🙂 I hope she likes it though! The illustrations are super cute too. And I think they’ve added more unique illustrations since this first edition of the journal! 😃
You're the best, Anna! Thank you for this incredibly well done video, and review! Stop motion is amazing. Happy Questing!🧙🏻♂️
Thanks for sharing! This was a great video. Very informative!!!

Aw thank you! I'm so glad it helped! If you haven't gotten one yet, they currently have a preorder for this gorgeous new purple colored journal! :D
Story is your word of the year is absolutely amazing. Thank you for making this video
Aw thank you! It was one of my favorites. I hope you have a lovely start to your new year! 😊💜
Thanks for your review. I have been looking for a new scheduler/journal and this looks like it is right up my alley!
I'm glad the review was helpful! This journal sure does make my geeky heart happy. I can't wait to see what they continue to create! 😃
What a wonderful concept!
Very interesting, I am certainly going to have to look into this more!

I have always struggled to be a consistent journaler. This looks intriguing. May have to check it out
Well stated! Very helpful

More excited to get my hands on this than I probably should be 😅
Who says? Let yourself enjoy the excitement! :D

My current planner subscription is gunna be disappointed bc now I want to switch and try this 😍
Haha! And they’ve gotten even better since I did this video of their first version journal! 😃😍 They have more colors and themes now too!

Where did you get the character sticker with Gastly? I love it!
Oh thank you! :) I actually drew it myself. It's one of the stickers I give out to my patrons on Patreon.

Absolutely loved how you put this together Anna! Fantastic stuff ❤️
Can you only focus on one goal per journal?
