    Are you kidding me? I am just getting into Bonsai and I am just now discovering this channel and it is nothing short of amazing. Not only am I impressed (and very thankful) on the information given, but also am very happy (and in a sense relieved) with the way the information is conveyed. As a "newbie" to bonsai I feel the information being shared is not only going to teach me the correct techniques, but will also expedite my learning curve without having to make the same mistakes over and over while increasing my frustration level. Kuddos to you Bonsai Mirai, you have a huge fan for life.

    This is the most informative and correct explanation of watering bonsai that ive came across. Explaining the differences of foliage, pots, soil and environment is so important. I have all indoor and all different species and do water from above hitting all the foliage. They seem to respond well with this watering especially my Golden Gate and Chinese Elm. Ive always been told to make sure trunk gets watered also. So im just confused now?? You are way more experienced than I, although my trees are doing great would they be doing even better if i stop this? Ive always used the 3 pass method.

    Good and detailed information.
    However if you allow me to give some creative critics: This video would have been even better if you added some text to further add the aspect and the most essential factors you talking about.
    I am not talking about subtitles - only some short bullet list or similar to list of things to think of. It would give that extra emphasis and educational spirit. (English is not my native language and hope I not appear blunt)
    Keep up the good work.

    Im in hot houston texas, I had a small pine tree and small oak tree in pots. I wanted to change the pots and soil. I did so in the summer heat a couple months ago. Oak tree died, pine still growing great. Pine are tough.

    My experience in India especially in summer is that drenching foliage thoroughly while watering encourages back budding & vigour, could also be that I have mainly tropicals

    Great training video. When a tree is placed in an inorganic mix with plenty of drainage, is it as important of a question for water or not? Many say with the right mix it is almost impossible to overwater.

    I’ve watched all the videos in this series , I have maybe a weeks worth of free content to get through still but I already know when I’m done I’m going to do what I told myself I wouldn’t do .
    I’m going to subscribe to access all his other videos .
    My original plan was to watch free RUclips videos and buy some books but I enjoy having his videos playing as I’m doing various things and something always jumps out at me increasing my knowledge base .
    Did you guys watch his Christmas tree one ? Now I want to do one so bad but I’ll have to wait for next year as I am gathering a good supply stockpile now and already have 3 trees picked out for spring with another as maybe .

    • @christiansanchez1486
      @christiansanchez1486 4 года назад

      Ted not at all water percentage varies from climate to climate being a gardener and a bonsai student from California unless you’re talking about tropical species you shouldn’t be watering your plants that vigorously 90% is once-twice a day you’ll rot your roots but then again I live in a mildly humid area so I don’t require constant watering.
