I love Simlipal a lot but for those who comes 1st time here, monsoon is not at all recommended as the main jungle is closed to see wild animals and there is a waterfall named Bahrepani which is the 2nd highest waterfall in India. And Aranya Niwas is quite a expensive property but if anyone wants to stay in budget there is Simlipal Eco cottage which is also inside the forest too...

so typical of a self absorbed consumer. Typical urbanite selling a product and being the product herself. You learn nothing about the people of Odisha nor about the complex history of Simlipal, its tribal populations nor its troubled efforts to conserve wildlife and the very dangerous problems with mining in Odisha. A few picture post card shots, but no people,. no poverty shots or , cute smiles and just live in your own bubble. Utter nonsense. shallow and pointless. Yes this is what you can get from a youtuber who learns nothing from experience. Might as well stay in a five star hotel in Mumbai.

There is another waterfall in Mayurbhanj called Bhimkund. The history of Bhimkund dates back to the Mahabharat days. A temple called Khiching Temple where Goddess Kichakeshwari is worshiped. Bhimkund and Khiching Temple's story is related. Odisha's 1st Museum can be found adjacent to the Khiching Temple where you will find many things related to Virat Garh from Mahabharat Days.
