This is the equivalent of NATO; a female friend is pounding on your door, telling you that brutal attackers are trying to dominate her. Your reply is that she must defeat the overwhelming strength of her attackers first and then you will debate opening the door or not. You will also give one of her attackers a veto vote in that discussion. That is the equivalent response that NATO countries are presenting to Ukraine.
I say if you don't open the door now and help her win, the attackers will be back for one of you. The attackers must never win.

    • @janorgaWB

ukraine was never part of NATO and so not in the "we'll help you fight" boat.... but was the agreement to give up nuk3s with NATO itself? or some other agreement? (yeah it always seemed messed up to me that we just throw money or arsenal to ukraine and say good luck. and it worked out sooo well for everyone when we all took a hands off approach back in the 2nd WW. we made treaties and agreements with mr moustache as well, and he just shrugged and did whatever he wanted.)
put1n has a lot of reasons it wouldn't be beneficial to stop. one is that they are in a wartime economy. to stop now would likely crash everything into the ground. plus, ukraine has resources and different vehicles of trade that would bolster ruzzia and let them diversify what they can offer. i believe they would also be able to control grain prices in the market. there's a lot of reasons.
