i love how hes so educational and precise yet relaxed and relatable so ANYONE weather you're in school or just wanting to learn something new, you'll follow along just fine..
at one point hes like "so here's north america, Gondwana is doing its thing" made me laugh and kept my attention from start to finish because he's just being himself and not too ....uptight (for lack of a better way to put it). great work and hope to see and watch more from you

Thank you very much Dr White for helping continuing my education. I think this is the fourth or fifth series of your videos you have done, that I and now watching. You manage to keep your videos interesting and short plus bring us information we need to know.
I had been subscribe to your site for some time, so I need to figure out now why I searched the youtube for more science videos when I always seem to come back to your videos.
Keep up the great job in educating us. So far, You done better than any of my classes and lectures I was bore being in but I was require to attend during my university years.

starts off kind of complicated.. is there preliminary videos to watch? Also, the little white cursor moves too quickly and is hard to follow. lots of good info, though.

My mother, rest her soul, bought the book "All About Volcanoes and Earthquakes" for me in 1955 when I was six years old. There were a few paragraphs about Wegener and plate tectonics. Geology became a hobby of mine. After all these years, I have never read or seen a description of plate(s) colliding. Did they just slam into each other at x MPH? Or did they just bump into each other at .0001 MPH?

If I recall correctly, continental movements are expressed in units like centimeters per year or inches per year, so very slow. I seem to remember it being compared to the rate at which your fingernails grow.
