with a lot of “skramz”, the screams are intentionally raw af. yes, it hurts a lot, but it conveys more pain, desperation, and vulnerability than healthy screams, and has this desperate, disturbing, and frantic sorta vibe that can’t be done with the healthy techniques. definitely an acquired taste haha
It's by far the best term. Screamo to most people mean something totally different these days. Same with emo. Only Skramz conveys this sound. @@chaosaintme9067
Bro cringing at his vocals because he's doing it wrong??? OMFG He is the only one that did it right!! One of the most influential bands of the screamo emo era . One of my favorite bands ever. Check out their band after Saetia, Hot Cross.
Screaming pain is a great description of the approach. Your analysis is precise, but it's not about doing it right, but it's about doing it with purpose. That said, I wouldn't recommend doing this type of vocal without knowing that this can mess your voice.
You’re just not use to hearing those kinds of screams successfully.. there’s other kinds of genres and bands that push the boundaries.. those kinds of vocals CAN be done properly without losing your voice it’s intentional technique.. I like to call them “Agrostyle” there are niches in the voice to sustain shit like that I know myself
it is really difficult to get into Screamo/Skramz and is understandable because singers on screamo bands scream like in pain, i mean screamo is about "emotional" and "scream" so yeah vocalist sings like that because is more like an emotional scream than "singing correctly"... anyways, im glad, no much people react to real Screamo/Skramz so thank you! (im sorry if i wrote something wrong or if my english is not good at all) ALSO! i request Sed non satiata - les hommes sans visage
One of the most influential and important and best skramz bands of all time. Billy's an awesome guy and his voice is fine. He's still at it! (Although he did take a long break). Other beautiful examples of the genre include Heroin, Off Minor, City of Caterpillar, Indian Summer, John Henry West, the Assistant, Page 99, Orchid, 1,000 Travels of Jawaharlal, and actually I could go on and on but I've got to stop somewhere!
they're not exactly doin it wrong. Sounds like it sometimes! Alota stuff similar to this is Combatwoundedveteran, Orchid, Cease upon the capital. I'd reccomend "The temptation that is you" By The Saddest Landscape btw! It's long but amazing:D
Hard to watch , seriously had to pause it in order to say he isn’t screaming right when you’re not even a vocalist😂 close minded people when you can’t even listen to a song through without talking shit
Loving the instrumentals. I am with you Amber, on the screaming. I was cringing as well😬😬😬 Julia Nilon did a collaboration with a extreme vocal coach after she did her Jinjer Pisces video. I never saw it though.

Oh, please dont call it that

Legendary band, the screaming style is intentional
not only intentional but alzo FUCKING AMAZING! I can't help myself but to get goosebumps everytime I listen to this song.
Sorry but this band is absolutely legendary and set a standard which no other band could meet or at least exceed
the screaming is amazing, end of story.
Saetia "Doing it wrong".. right
lol
the band as of recently has actually reunited btw and they're playing shows

Some people just have no clue
Hot Cross are legends too!!!
lol "correct." Pretty sure Saetia is prior to "correct" screamo vocals or mixing, whatever that is. This was late 90's.
the screams fits with the song perfectly xd

You're English was pretty good!
I heard it back in the day and it was my first exposure to the scene. I dug it immediately, though hardcore wasn't my thing.
Sed non satiata are fucking great.
"cringing at his vocals just because he is doing it wrong" LMAO
You realize that one of us is a trained singer. And screaming wrong can totally fuck up your voice forever which to a singer is a huge deal

Thank you for the info! it's good to know his voice is fine. That was a main concern.

Melissa Cross is the screaming vocal coach you're looking for.
bro wdym the screams are bad ass :(
We are not really into extreme vocals.
Hard to watch , seriously had to pause it in order to say he isn’t screaming right when you’re not even a vocalist😂 close minded people when you can’t even listen to a song through without talking shit
I (Charisse) am a trained singer. I am concerned if he is screaming correctly, cause he could really mess up his voice if doing it wrong.
Good video, i love saetia and i love the reactions ^_^
You didn’t just get dumped, and btw the screaming always sounds good
We will have to agree to disagree.
do tigersuit - raein next

Skramz reaction channel make it happen
Bruh
u goofy for this
Singer is going to lose his voice - rather sooner than later...
Ya that's what we're afraid of! We don't know much about screaming but that sounds bad lol
This track is from 1997. Singer is fine.
He later did vocals in a band called Hot Cross that got bigger. He's totally fine today and has a normie job and a family.
Instrumentally OK, lyrically so so, vocally no no.
cringe take
