Thank you for making this! A mechanic at a local Mazda dealership told me the broken headrests couldn't be replaced and we would need to replace the entire seat. A call to the parts department told me otherwise, but I still needed to figure out how to remove the broken guideposts. Your video has saved me hundreds of dollars, if not more, and has renewed my distrust of most mechanics.
In my 2017 CX-3 for some reason the lock one is installed in the side that the posts don't have notches to lick into. In other words, they sleeves are either reversed or someone changed out the headrest and put in two passenger ones. Either way I need to reverse the sleeves, so thank you for showing how to remove them.
Dood thank you! My wife decided to use the headrest as a lean to while installing a baby seat and both posts broke off. I thought I was going to have to get insurance to take care of it
so where did you buy them after all ? were you able to find them online anywhere ? or did you just bring your car to a dealer ? cuz I need mine replaced too . thx .
Thanks for the video! Just bought a 2013 Mazda5, and both of the inserts are missing on one of the seats. Surprised I cannot find the inserts online. What exactly are they called? Do I just need to go to the Mazda dealer and show them my problem?

How to do for the 3rd row? It doesn’t appear as accessible as the middle row to remove the old broken post.
