I've played EUPOP about 15 times now, a few of those with 6 people on the historical war game club and we are all amazed by the historical depth and correctness, it is all done so well and translated in game mechanics. this is a truly uniek game with so much replay ability. For History buff's this game brings history to live, it is so well done! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Happy to hear that you and your club are enjoying the game!
How long does a game typically take in your group?
@@Kim_Jong-un1356 far to long! about 6 hours per Age with 6 players.
@@plungy Ouch. That's long. Do you have any advice for someones first game, at 3 or 4 players? Or perhaps if you have advice on some useful videos on YT? I'm afraid to try the game just in case my group won't like it...that would break my heart since I LOVE EU.
@@Kim_Jong-un1356 Best way to get into EUPOP is to play Scenario I, and play only age I or I&II, play with the 4 major powers, france, Austria, Spain and England. Don't be affaid, the rules will come to you (read back often!) Despite the long playtime we never feel that ammount of time has passed cause the way this game plays. For a video to watch, i recommand "How to Play Europa Universalis: The Price of Power", by RTFM on youtube. Good luck and I hope your group likes it! btw, you can always sent your group to the workcamps and order some new group to play with you Dear leader.
Please keep making more of these. I'd love to see interesting edge cases or complex battle or peace resolutions done by the Aegir team in any format. Watching people who know what they're doing helps. The designer playing a turn or two of a Solo Campaign like Glory to Ulm or Rise of the Phoenix with his strategy thoughts would be great.
Glad you found it helpful! We have some more videos we want to do, yes. Peace Resolution among them, for sure. We just need to find the time between everything else.
We are still waiting for those videos 🙂
Some well-brewed beverage for the initiated: approve.
This is a great game, but it really needs these videos to teach how to play it and make it accessible. Keep it up.
Please make a guide for solo mode please please please!!!
Exceptionally exhaustive demonstration of the game, and almost a mandatory watch for anyone who intends to play it.
At 31:35, I believe it's only NPR troops that can get a leader. Rebels, as you called them yourself later, do not get leaders of any kind.
Very helpful but also intimidating :)
Hi, great video. Where can I find metioned videos about next phases of the game?
This video was excellent! Please post another to give an example of both play. Possible with the Ambitious Margrave scenario?
Hurrah !🎉
At 14:00 you seiged 3 towns. When you initially declared war you place only one tokn on London. Why not on the 3 towns? Basically when decalring war you place it on the captial and then you seige any towns you can?
Trying to learn the game for the first time.
France turn 3 - around 13:30 into the vid sieged Normandy, Caux and Maine. Normandy and Caux are port provinces and France doesn't have a navy in the adjacent sea zone. My understanding was this stops France from sieging them? Have I missed something?
All good!
Needing Ships to Siege are in BLUE port Provinces, to signify they are islands, remember, just BLUE ports, like Gibraltar, Naxos, Rhodes, Baleares, Ceuta
@@AegirGames thank you, makes complete sense
You mention in another comment an upcoming second printing. is the game being re-released? have been interested in getting a copy for a while now but your website says it is sold out. is a re-stock planned? Some third party websites offer re-stock pre orders without providing a date.
We will have more copies to sell on our webshop by the end of November this year, hopefully before that
will this include the delux edition?@@AegirGames
@@ambitiouslemur Yes, there is a limited number of Deluxe Edition copies available now.
did they ever make the other videos?
Quick Question: @ around 27:00 - Spanish Trade action, Would England lay their merchant down since they collected from that or is that only for the active powers merchant?
As you pre-emptively thought, is just the Active Player who has to lay down the Merchant, so the other player still has a Trade Action available.
Will the Deluxe Edition be reprinted? The shops I spoke to say yes but couldn't provide a date. I would greatly appreciate it!
Ok, I saw your answer under the other comment. Thank you very much! This game is at the top of my list. It will be available again this month?
Will there be a part 2?
How long does a solo game take? Being somewhat experienced after a few plays
It really depends on the scenario. Once you get used to the Bots, I would say they go a lot quicker than the average human player.
On turn 1, in the Declare War action of France, why does Provence provide 2 units? Shouldn't they provide only 1 unit since their Tax Value is 2?
Their Tax Value is 3 - they have 2 cities, a small one (1 tax) and a big one (2 tax)
Ah I did not notice Anjou in northwestern France. Thanks. @@kaslo5139
You mentioned setup as a srparate game. Is that uploded?
Not yet, but there's this one ruclips.net/video/5aZwXK3GuBE/видео.html
i didn't understand, our rulebook ( from KS) is the previous one 1.0?
where to get the new one 1.2?
It's the upcoming 2nd printing. Also available for download, here: boardgamegeek.com/filepage/240695/europa-universalis-price-power-main-rules
@@AegirGames thx
@@AegirGamesguys, I want the deluxe version of this sooo much. Would you reprint those ones as well? Thanks in advance.
@@AegirGames will there be an upgrade pack for those of us who already own the first print?
we will reprint Deluxe, yes@@StubbornFunkyDonkey
I need this komplex Game in German ... 😭
It is to komplex in english for me and my Friends
How do you know the religion of NPR? I know Nasrid kingdom was muslim by history, but how is it shown in the game?
The Realm guide thing should tell you
This guy has the EXACT accent that I picture in my mind, when I think of a guy who designs massive dry-ish euro games.
