Hi Dr. Does the saline spray have salt in it? I can’t use anything with salt as it will further dry out my nose. I have been dealing with this since the age of 19 now 51. Here is what has worked for me. 3/10 minute rule. Pinch your nose for 10 minutes 3x…or my variation. Pinch nose for 10 minutes. If still bleeding, I use a Kleenex (or small tampon) and put a few drops of Afrin extra moisturizing on the end of it and put up nose for about 5 to 7 minutes. Afrin is a vasoconstrictor and will normally stop bleeding right away. However, do not leave in for too long because it can be drying. After that I put Aquaphor on a Q-tip inside my nose and coat the dry areas. (Make sure this is a very thin layer, do not put in thick globs. ) You can also hold a small ice pack or ice cube (in a washcloth) on the outside of the nostril that is bleeding. This routine stops the bleeding. From there I will put a thin layer of aquaphor (or you can use vasoline) inside my nose every few hours (or when it drys out) until it heals for the next couple of days. Do not blow your nose for a few days. I also take Keto electrolyte drops in water to stay hydrated and stay away from caffeine or hot liquids for a few days.

The vaseline helped me alotttttttttt. No nose bleeding since 3 weeks straight. before it was 3,4 times a week. Thanks doc

Another option is Neosporin in the nostrils 👃
For some reason saline doesn't work for me but Vaseline always does.
