A lovely video and very informative. I agree that we should preserve as well as restore the glen. Our ancestors were among those evicted (to the Black Isle). We also enjoyed the games in the 1970s where my father competed.
Thanks. Yes it is my wife and did it when we were in our thirties. You need a map and my recollection is that there were sections with no clear track. Maybe there is one now though. It took us most of a day. You come out at Achnashellach on the way to loch Carron. A great walk along an historic route. Good luck.
I think they are held towards the end of July. If you google you should be able to find the date for 2025. I am sure you will enjoy them if you stay clear of the refreshment tent!! If you ignore my advice don’t try driving back down the Glen.
Thanks for sharing this very nice video. 😎
Thanks for uploading. Most interesting !
Great video Kate. Keep up the good work.
A very informative and enjoyable watch. Thank you.
Great watch, thanks & best wishes are passed.
Excellent and very informative video. I live in Marybank, and really need to spend more time up here. Thanks for the heads up.
We used to have a cottage at Orrinside. I see it is being massively extended now. I miss the place very much. It was a very tranquil spot.

Thanks for the nice comment. If you do not mind me asking. Who was your father? I may have known him as I am now in my late seventies.
@@dipinmedia Leslie Ferguson
The name does not ring a bell. I will ask my older brother when I next see him. He was one of the competitors in the obstacle race!
@@dipinmedia He was a Heavy, competing in the shot put and hammer. Also, he used to help Tommy Macrae at Fairburn for a while, if that helps.
Hi there... Nice video... Is it poss to through hike east to west?
