  • From another Flinstones marathon called "Flinstones Week". No copyright infringement intended
This tape seems to be in worser quality than the older one, somehow

This gives me fuzzy feelings, thank you so much.
Love anything CN from 1993-2002, back when it was a channel for cartoons not just kids. The promos the variety of shows old and new at the time.I would absolutely love a copy of this and anything like this in full. (including the shows)

These are one of the last memories of cartoon network I have. A few months later they would encrypt the channel and it would take 5-6 years until I finally got to see it again. Let's just say it wasn't as good as i hoped it'd be.

It's because you've got older back then and many new stuff happened in your life for 5-6 years. When you're a kid everything looks magically interesting, but when you're becoming a teenager everything starts looking grey and boring

@@MoscowChannel Nah we lost Cartoon network in 99. Used to be free via satellite in Europe for 6 years before they encrypted the channel.

I know what you talking about. I even know people from England who saw Cartoon Network from the start. And few of them told me that they like CN from early 2000 way more than from the 90's, because it was an era of anime and other stuff. Other European CN versions didn't have anime blocks, only England and France had. And this is why non-England CN felt like shit back then; with no commercials, but with cheap looking ads that nobody liked

Great stuff. I was probably watching this marathon. I was only 6 years old, but I remember that Dexter's Laboratory "Ballet" bumper as if it were yesterday. That's probably one of my earliest memories of Cartoon Network, if not the earliest.

Thanks, it may go through a recapture since I now have a DVD recorder which results in no crappy signal instability and better capturing.

God, I remember that Flintstones week, they dug out all sorts of obscure crap that week, including the awful variety show series from the early 70s and the late 70s and early 80s revivals everyone else had forgotten about.

That’s true. On the tape was a whole selection of flinstones stuff like the classics, the spin off where the adults were kids, and the spin off focused on the BABIES (cave kids)

Wild Wild West is rated 12 as a kids movie?

It may have received a lower rating in other countries. Movie ratings can vary by country, Top Gun is a 15 over here despite being a PG in the US, The Incredibles is a U (our equivalent of G) over here despite being a PG in Ireland and the US. The 2nd Underworld movie is rated 15 in Ireland despite being an 18 over here, even though it's the same Ireland that gave The Matrix an 18 rating despite that film being a 15 here in the UK!
