why would nicki need to profit off of africa when she’s such a huge artist? africa is the motherland for a lot of things so did she lie? isn’t davido from africa??
Lol 😂 Tunji your reaction at 3:59. I love when Nicki sings. I like the fact that she sang and then did a lil rap part. She’s the Queen period. Ps: Holy ground is my favorite song
Motherland because they are from Africa too. Read your history, they are from Africa and you can't take that away from them. Also, isn't this a Davido FT Nicki song? What market is she profiting from? Y'all need to chill.
The same way she meant by *naija to the world" is what she meant by the "queen to the motherland" not that she's he actual queen to the motherland (even though she could be,she does support nigerian artists in general) simple english people.
I probably understand English better. I never said she said she was the actual queen to the motherland. Listen to my words again and understand that my words were generalized and not specific to her. She might have good intentions, I have nothing against her but that doesn’t change the fact that some international artists do this Fr. ♥️
their ancestors were taken out of Africa as slaves and most of them dint even know what country they truly come from.. but you have to understand that Africa is truly their home.. so its only okay to call it their mother land
It’s just a Shout out. She is the Queen of Rap so when she says “ Queen of the motherland on the other Hand” you should understand. One thing Nicki does not know how to do is Profit off of someone or Chase Clout. She ain’t even on Social media to promote the track. Pls respect her. She isn’t one of those celebs.
I understand completely what you’re talking about because I feel that people who are foreigners to my country like to profit off of my country as well sometimes just to benefit them. But Nicki genuinely cares for Africa. Nicki is from Trinidad, she’s West Indian and I’m from the West Indies as well. For most West Indians we are very attached to Africa because a lot of African influences are still within our culture and a lot of the countries in the West Indies still speak certain African tongues within their languages..... we’re taught in our countries that Africa is the motherland and that we originated from there. I have people in my country who still speaks the language “Akan” and they still live as African people with the culture and the food because they wanted to continue being Africans they didn’t wanna be West Indians so during slavery they traveled to the other side of my country and continued to live as Africans.
@@TiiJayyTV i wish I could do a VN but anyway- you can't just say someone does not care about a culture because the person did not react at the time tiwa called her put on INSTAGRAM- Tiwa is in contact with her and her team why did she not do it personally she had to chase clout as our Nigerian celebs do. Secondly beyonce did not profit off put cultire- out of all the countries beyonce picked artiste from its only Nigerians that are calling foul because we want her to be at our Beck and call, the gift album was her lowest selling album and she got the least recognition from before that album beyonce was a megastar. Do you think white people give two fucks about Nigeria sound? And btw beyonce knows more about the culture than most Nigerians living in Nigeria because our history lessons in school have been white washed we don't know shit about pre colonial times. Next time really do your research you're a RUclipsr and if you make ignorant comment people will believe and the ignorance continues
Please don’t get me wrong. That wasn’t my point. My words were very general and not specific to her. I like her. I’m just saying a lot of international artists try to claim Africa as motherland and not really giving a shit about us.
@@TiiJayyTV She is a rapper. Try to understand it that way. It’s a shout out. She didn’t collect a dime from Davido. Meanwhile she charges 500k dollars for a verse. She isn’t trying to claim nothing. Other reactors all over are saying they need to listen to more Davido. So who is really getting exposed to wider audience here?????????????????????
You need to stop with that mentality it’s 2020. Y’all dragged Beyonce for exposing Nigerian n Ghanaian artists to wider audience while saying she is Capitalizing off Africans. That mentality needs to end. People are listening to our African artists for the very first time. I think that should be the last thing to be worried about.
