Well, 6v6 is gonna be back and we wont have PvE anymore, were basically back to Overwatch 1
Wait till they announce OW3 and abandon OW2 for another 4 years.
Which is good. The only reason ow1 didn’t work, was the fact they ignored and neglected it to “work” on PVE. Now, considering that they have entirely stopped PVE development, 6v6 is the best way forward.
Atleast they tried shit. Either way no matter what kinda game overwatch is people are gonna cry. Even if it’s perfect people will cry. Gamers are weird as fuck
They will not make 6v6 the OW, they Will just try it

-removed the 6v6 format which destroys the game concept which was originaly meant
-They bring back pink mercy so all mercy mains will return increasing up the playerbase

-Removed the player borders which was cool
-removed the group finder
-removed the option to play the least played role so u can earn credits
-removed the balanced loot box system
They mutilated the game and now is forever souless!

If they're worried about queue times, why have open queue (quick play and competitive) when the game isn't balanced for it. They should also cut down arcade to 2 modes that rotate. If you want to play a specific arcade mode, too bad, go make it in customs. This will help with tank queue times for 6v6.
No actually it won’t. All the dps and support players that want to insta queue in open queue will go to role lock and make queues longer for everyone but tank players

You still had impact but if you're having an off game you didn't completely throw the game, also it's not even mostly about that, I just like bigger lobbies, there's also more kills to be had, damage numbers were higher for dps characters, just more fun chaos in general

Well that's tough Blizzard, I'm still not playing. I'll still watch this trainwreck from afar. Only reason I would ever even consider touching this game again is if they make an Overwatch Classic, and that's only a VERY slight maybe. Terrible company.
The best part with Marvel Rivals is the fact they compete vs Overwatch, which in return makes Overwatch forced to stay in front and listen(!) to their community.

Not sure if I should be happy about this. No one in my group likes playing as frontline. Queue time is definitely going to be upped
They keep buffing tank, as if what they need is more pressure to perform. The problem lies in how much a tank has to do to win the teamfight, if it was less impactful to be the tank, I reckon it could be more fun. As of right now all it takes is a small tank miss-play and teamfight is lost.
Everyone who wants 6v6 is bad at the game and wants less urgency as a single person, so now if we go back to 5v5 u as a single dps cant make nearly as much of a difference, this is a step backwards except for the people that are bad and get carried
I wonder what people will do when 6v6 is back and they don't have the same fun as before

I enjoyed playing with 1 more person in ow1.
Anyone with an actual clue about the game will enjoy 6v6 more. The only real problem will be queue times.

Marvel rivals is its own thing, it's not an ow replacement. If you like Marvel you'd like marvel rivals. Looks like a game with less demanding setup, is free to play so it will have people from potato pc community lining up which is good for the game.

No he won’t, his fame and influence comes from Overwatch, he is the closest content creator to the devs, switching to Rivals would mean losing all that. I really doubt he is having fun from Overwatch either considering he was playing other games before Rivals and he has no passion as opposed to for example Necros, the most passionate streamer about Rivals, he is not tied to Overwatch devs in any way, he is not having fun from Genji. He cares about fun that’s why he’s immediately switching to play Spiderman, it also benefits his career as a streamer.

I mean rivals is really fun for certain heroes, like spiderman is much more fun than genji not necessarily because of the kit design but because there aren’t so many stupid cooldowns that you have to force before having a chance for a kill, and engaging in ow with genji takes significantly more thought and disengaging is a struggle against beams. But Spider-Man just can go in and out really fast

I’m a genji one trick through and through, the idea of playing Moira makes me sick. you still need to use your brain it’s just you don’t need to play perfect to get value like with genji. Spider-Man still requires significantly better aim and game sense compared to Moira, just with genji if you don’t play perfect you either are perma dead or aren’t doing anything. It’s more of a me being used to genji being so bad rather than the game being easy

The point of ow2 wasn’t 5v5 tho. It was pve. It was originally going to be a separate pve only game while ow1 would’ve stayed active as a pvp only game.
Now that pve died it’s already what you described.

6v6 only way it could work is to split tanks into main and off tanks and have different Q spots main/off tank so we don't get double shield again
