As you turn the tire flexes & eventually reaches its grip limit & starts to lose traction. If you're already going through a corner too quickly hitting the brakes will only cause that loss of traction to happen sooner if not done with extreme care. So, if you get into a turn and realize that you are about to overcome the tire grip with the side load and you hit the brakes in response, the front outside tire will almost certainly break loose at that instant and the car then stops turning and plows forward on a straight path that takes it out of the turn and sends it off the road.
the suspect did an abrupt stop, but that pursuing officer likely was inexperienced in high-speed pursuits.. maybe new on the force? Glad no LEO was hurt. AND, of course the civilian in their own car. 🙏🏼

This might just be the first LA area police chase I've seen via dashboard camera. Literally all police chases that happen there are shown via helicopter and the police never get too close.

Every range I’ve been to has a 200 yard lane for rifles. I’m sure most police use a range that has multiple lanes for rifles and handguns as well. i believe it was a malfunction. you can clearly hear the hammer drop meaning that it was charged, but something was amiss. besides his slight anticipation of the recoil he did a great job tap racking and reassessing quickly. more than likely an officer in training considering he called the officer he was with "sir"

its normal and is used for getting peoples attention in intersections. Sirens generally gather too much attention and cause people to freeze up, ultimately blocking officers in traffic quite often
they change sirens so the frequencies/rythms are different so people can recognize that it's a siren and they should be alert
