- Part 1 of my trip from New Mexico to Canada, and back. 3,300 miles on my 33 year old GoldWing through New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana, and Alberta Canada. It's a Good Day to Own a GoldWing!

That was one of the best trips of my life I was 79 I had a 2010 gold wing I left from Beverly Hills Florida to Fairbanks Alaska. It was a real adventure and every way. My trip was 14,000 miles in four months. When I came back to Route 80 I won’t West Route 70 began and then I went back over the Rockies and into Florida. The trip was a dream come true. I pulled a camper behind Bike. I have no problem with either one Bike or the camper.
That sounds like the trip of a lifetime for sure!!!
I've been enjoying your goldwing trip immensely. As the owner of a 2000 model year golden, I just completed a 1500 mile trip a few weeks ago. Cannot beat the value of these machines. I will bet that your 87 runs like a new machine. Anyway, great video
Thanks Brad! It's actually an '89, not that it matters really! So you have the last of the 1500s right? If mine ever kicks the bucket, I may have to look for one of those myself!! Glad you're enjoying the videos; it really means a lot to hear that. I sure wish I had a better mic at the time, since there's an awful lot of wind noise at times, but overall, they give a good idea of what a long trip like that can be like, I think. Again, thanks for the feedback!
I'm on episode three now and really enjoying this series. Thanks for uploading it. I really enjoyed the Breaking Bad ones too. I've subscribed and told my sons about the channel so hopefully they will too. Hi from the UK. 🇺🇸 🏍 🇬🇧
Thank You! My mic wasn’t the best for the Canada trip, and I think my editing skills have improved a bit since then….but I’m glad you’re enjoying it!! What part of the UK do you hail from?
@@twobikesandadrone Near Dover. On the South coast. I often travel past Lakenheath in Norfolk though. Were you there during your service?
@@stefanm67 I've been to Lakenheath at least once, and to another small base that was over there at the time.....but not Mildenhall. Can't remember the name. Also took a 24-hour ferry ride over there once, with a bunch of Brits that had just come back from an alcohol rehab place of some kind. Or at least some of them had been there. This is in the mid-80s, so it's been a while 🤔😄 Anyway, that was a very eventful ride, since they were definitely making up for lost time!!!
The one thing I have noticed is harly davidson has allot of breakdown on the long road . Where the my favorite goldwing seems to last and last. Even with proper care on both brands .
I'm biased of course, but after 170,000 miles I couldn't agree more. Honda just knows how to overbuild things so that they'll last longer, and the GoldWing is proof of that!!
Goldwing is a beast I have a 95 what did you use for a phone holder
It's a Kuryakyn, but I like the Ram Quick Grip that I have on my other bike a lot better. The Kuryakyn has held up for at least 5 years though (can't remember exactly when I got it), so there's something to be said for that I guess.
blablavbla
The BMW is garbage.
Of course you took the Goldwing.
You clearly have BMW issues, but I WILL say that the only reason I took the Wing was because it's more comfortable and has better protection from the elements. The GS is far from garbage, and is the better all-around bike as you well know I'm sure, but I'm curious why you have issues with BMWs?
If it's garbage then I wonder why BMW sell so many and it is so popular. Here in the UK the GS is consistently a best seller. I love the Goldwing, by the way.
