    Success is winning a knockout round game against a non-concacaf/non-crap opponent. That is success. Every US manager gets the US out of the group stage and then they lose in the Knockouts. So winning a knockout round match is the standard. And if that match is against somebody the US normally beats like a fluke Mexico matchup it doesn't really count because the US routinely beats Mexico in cups. It has to be a real opponent. Like they were knocked out by The Netherlands last cup. Belgium in Brazil. That's the hurdle. Get past a decent team. Like in the Confederations cup they beat a good unbeaton, Spain team in the knockout round. Fans want THAT sort of win in a competitive fixture. No flukes. Now lucky opponent. No happy to do what every other manager did, just make the knockouts. Nope. Go execute and win. Anything less is failure to the US soccer community. Now I'll caveat all of that by saying if they like end up facing France in the knockout game and like lose 3-2 in extra time putting up an excellent fight i don't think it will be failure. But if ya get pasted 3-0 or 4-1 nobody will be happy.

      Would you be satisfied with a Colombia level opponent?

      I would also gladly take beating France on a fluke deflection. I do not care how the win happens.

    USA cant win anything but Gold Cup and even might lose the final due to Poch's poor trophy winning.

      England will not hire a non-English coach again. Not named Pep that is. Not sure why anyone would want to put up with the Toxic fanbase and the English media.

    • @benjaminaraya8073
      @benjaminaraya8073 2 месяца назад +2

      He and Matt Crocker know each other from their Southampton days, Pochettino liked the US project he was presented and ofc the USSF occurred to pay $6 million for his salary, which wouldn’t be an issue at all.

      @vinylhorror You literally have British people to organise American soccer at the national level, people who have developed their football coaching careers in England and dual national players with roots in England to propel you in a world cup that you're hosting. You actually owe football in England a debt of gratitude.

    • @InternationalScoop

      @@carolsomewhereinengland2541We owe english football gratitude yes but not the media nor the fan base, both of which have been a giant thorn in our backs for decades. English fans greatest fear is the US actually becoming a powerhouse in football

    Nothing will help. Mls youth academies full of kids of coaches, celebrities , very rich people. And now they have a quote like equality. So like in community there is 85% one race 10% another and 5 % another
    They chose not the best players. 33% from each not to mention need to have connections

    • @whiteboyplayssoccer
      @whiteboyplayssoccer 2 месяца назад +2

      It doesn’t matter that he wasn’t a particularly great player, Klinsman is the perfect example of a great player who was/is a horrendous coach. Got the German and Bayern jobs due to connections and underperformed horribly at both and has spiraled downward from there. Poch has by far the best COACHING pedigree/resume of any manager we’ve ever hired by a mile.
