We are NOT under the old testament laws (613 laws) but under the Grace of God when the Lord Jesus fulfilled all laws into fulfilment. Preach like Apostle Paul who God assigned for the Gentiles and he teaches how God loved us so much that He gave His Son for us (John 3:16). Avoid too much concentration on the old laws when preaching, these are the things of the past and are just shadows of the new things to come (which is now) promised by God written in Isaiah, Psalm, etc. Lord Jesus is the fulfilment of everything. Let's learn to appreciate it my friend. It deepens our knowledge about who God is, how gracious He was to His people, and He's just at the same time. He gave consequences to their mistakes and rewarded them for their obedience. He punished and defeated the wicked. Even the apostles would refer to the ancient scriptures. It is a testimony of God. It does not exist for little/no purpose. Especially nowadays, people need to learn more about God using the OT, because He is only known as a "provider, good and kind." And people just mock Him when they don't experience these things anymore. People forgot about what existence is all about, how things happened, why there had to be a sin offering through our Christ Jesus. Our God is the same forever. We can reflect on the happenings of the OT with our own life. We can also see there how God really is mighty and sovereign, and the ancient people really showed Him honor and reverence. He's the same God we are serving now who deserves real worship from us. The deeper you know who you have a relationship with, the more you learn how to act towards him/her. Proverbs 18:15 An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
