    My GF just recently got a '97 Coleman Cheyenne that we want to add an AC unit too. I just today started researching adding an AC unit to it and even though I'm experienced in both automotive and residential electrical and HVAC, working on RV/camper setups is new to me, so this video was a great find to give me an idea of what all is going to be involved. Nice clean installation and great documentation in your video!

    Thank you for this detailed video. I have a small RV with a precut hole, but it was never braced or wired for an AC there. This helps a whole lot with my planning of adding a AC up top. My current AC works fine, but it is a window unit and most RV parks now a days don't allow window ACs in their parks. I want to be able to travel to more places without worrying about finding a place that will allow my RV in so this project is at the top of my list.

    Our factory installed Mach 3 is not wired into the converter at all. There is a separate 30a breaker box mounted under the seat. The AC cable runs to that breaker, then a 30a cord runs out the camper wall beside the 30a house power. That way, you don't need to install another receptacle or have a cord running on the open floor for a cleaner install. Probably comes out cheaper that way as well due to less hardware.

    • @popupcamperpro
      @popupcamperpro 3 года назад +1

      Interesting. Since AC's were never factory options, there are likely quite a few different installations from over they years. Thanks for sharing Jon!.

      On a Utah one installed under the air conditioner should work just fine. To check for the correct brace, take a look at your accessories parts book under the model year, measure the inside of the roof or give us a call at the office for assistance!
