Its clear Lilly thought everything is ok at least up until June 1st so you can easily reject the separation narration and if you do so, there is no "unclear" stuff anymore because separation was something they came up with quickly to minimaze the backlash. + Lilly and Ethan were not a covid relationship and they lasted until the filming, the covid thing can only apply to Ariana. I’d actually say that the beginning of the album embodied her anger and feelings of upset whereas the second half is more self-reflective. She realizes after the heat of the moment ends, that he’s not so bad, but there’s too many hurt feelings to reconcile.

Regardless of the type of person she is, I knew I would listen to her new album because she is, thankfully, a great singer and a skilled songwriter. It kinda baffles me that she was so honest here, to me she basically confirmed the affair rumours. The song I like the most is "i wish i hated you", because it really feels like she's being honest here, just like with "ghostin" (another song I love). It's understandable that she might never sing it live. Being that vulnerable in front of many people sounds like a horrible experience.

Ariana is a fantastic singer and I saw her live during her Dangerous Woman era. Sweetner is still my favorite album because her album came out right when I was dealing with anxiety and a rough breakup so her album was comforting. I give her my props and appreciate her songwriting and singing abilities, however, the only song I really do like on this album is bye. The rest of her songs while she sounds great, I just feel like she's trying to gaslight the public into liking her again and I don't appreciate how she expects us to love her again when she takes no accountability for her problematic behaviors. I hate cheaters so this situation has really turned me off permanently from her and eternal sunshine didn't help either. I hate it cause I use to love her, now I can't vibe with her.

There can be a process to breaking up, especially when it comes to divorce. I'm not saying anything is or isn't true, but I also don't think there's enough information to assume that's what she meant. She left it kinda ambiguous for a reason.

Lilly’s exact wording was “not a girl’s girl,” the use of any other terms to label Ariana like homewrecker were utilized by the public after the story came out. And this isn’t necessarily her public persona when it is a reflection of her private actions. To an extent, she IS awful because she made a choice to pursue the man despite his being married with a child, for the sake of her own happiness. She wasn’t clueless. However, she doesn’t always have to be awful if she ever decides to break the pattern of pursuing taken men, learns to value herself and respect the relationships of other women. It’s crazy to me that Ariana constantly references the impact her mother's divorce has had on her, but shows no empathy or class after wrecking a marriage (and yes, she did wreck that marriage, she had met Lily, it’s not like she didn’t know Ethan was married with a child).

The song "I wish I hated you" is kind of like a contradiction to the first half of the album. I feel like the first few songs are just for damage control. Like trying to make herself the victim. I’d actually say that the beginning of the album embodied her anger and feelings of upset whereas the second half is more self-reflective. She realizes after the heat of the moment ends, that he’s not so bad, but there’s too many hurt feelings to reconcile.

Sweetner is still my favorite album because her album came out right when I was dealing with anxiety and a rough breakup so her album was comforting. I give her my props and appreciate her songwriting and singing abilities, however, the only song I really do like on this album is bye. The rest of her songs while she sounds great, I just feel like she's trying to gaslight the public into liking her again and I don't appreciate how she expects us to love her again when she takes no accountability for her problematic behaviors. I hate cheaters so this situation has really turned me off permanently from her and eternal sunshine didn't help either. I hate it cause I use to love her, now I can't vibe with her.

Honestly, the older i get, the less i care about what going on behind the scene with a celebrity or even their true character/personality. It doesn't matter to me how shitty they are unless they actually commit a crime or abuse the people around them. As long they are doing their job right an an entertainer, musician, actor or everything under the sun, whatever path they decide to take, even if it morally wrong, it their business.

I don't think that line (Now, she's in my bed, layin' on your chest) necessarily means that Dalton cheated on her, especially seeing how she flips it the next time she sings it saying, "Now, he's in your bed, layin' on my chest." There can be a process to breaking up, especially when it comes to divorce. I'm not saying anything is or isn't true, but I also don't think there's enough information to assume that's what she meant. She left it kinda ambiguous for a reason.
So... her new boyfriends ex-wife is angry (understandable yet classic) and calls Ariana a home wrecker, and therefore that is her new public persona and she's an awful person? Gosh, women do get judged quite harshly don't they.
In the real world, people do get divorced very often. Celebrities aren't an exception to that.
