Fermat contribution to math being just an observer, is exactly as important as Faraday's to physics ❤

So to the people who pass by this channel, the probability of it being so unknowticable, should by law be put into jail? kept there til released then commanded to subscribe... Sounds radical

Great videos. I'd be interested in seeing videos about the history of some mathematical concepts such as 0, negative numbers, geometry, differential calculus etc

This portrait is of Joseph-Louis Lagrange.

would be helpful to have the name in text though, because some of them are pretty hard to decipher. Other than that very nice.

For an American your pronunciation of French is excellent 👍. However, you should note that normally the stress is is on the second syllable. Fer'mat, Mer'senne, ...
Regarding Latin: As a school boy I learned the then prevailing incorrect pronunciation of Latin. However, loci should be pronounced lokee - like the Germanic god. Latin is *not* pronounced with an English accent 🥴
I think most mathematicians think that Fermat was a greater mathematician than Descartes and certainly the greatest number theorist before Lagrange and the giant Euler.
By the way, Mersenne also wrote a *very* important treatise on music theory.

Absolutely love your videos, i've been watching them for the last few days. If i were to give any constructive criticism, i gotta say you might focus a bit too hard on the pronounciation. It's great that you probably nail the pronounciation, but i feel like it disrupts the flow of what you're saying a bit. It might just be me who feels like this, but i just thought i'd mention it :)

I subbed maybe last week and watched most of your history videos. Thanks.
I am not sure if this is good constructive criticism but I feel that I recognize the spelling of the names of the mathematicians so having them in the description or video might be nice with the actual pronunciation of their names???

D English doesn't get his French either. It is a bit confusing as I don't speak French. It would actually be more helpful to pronounce the French names in English.

I violently disagree with the guy that said you focus too hard on the pronunciation. It is refreshing and indeed even musical to my ears to hear an Anglo *not* butchering foreign names, so please, for the love of God, keep doing it. But I do agree they ought to be said with more fluency.

I made my own probability game using cards and it's fun.. pascal was a wank and evolution is the probability of one day to 68 million years of evolution change... One day monkies stopped turning into men and fish stopped growing extra fins and so on... The probability of it all going well than one day it all stops is 1 in 68 million... You'd have to say and for what reason and cause was the sudden stop.. no one knows that answer . .. plus Darwin supposedly ( which is heresay) not fact persay that barnicles were unisex ... I've yet to see a seahorse impregnate itself ... And also monkies have stopped beating their wives and gambling along time ago.. now I think it's just us that do it
