The right hand position seat and rank. You do not stay in the same place spiritually year after year. You are either progressing in your relationship with him, or you are regressing every year. There is no standing still in your relationship with the Lord. The moment you become complacent and neutral (lukewarm; leaving your first love; see Rev. 3:15-16) you lose ground with him. It is not stressful to be yolked with the Lord in fellowship. I'm not saying that this relationship requires unreasonable stress and a harsh pursuit. It's actually the opposite. The only way to overcome this is to die to self! If you are not practicing this process daily, your flesh is coming alive and your spirit man is dying. Galatians 5:24 says, ‘And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.’ The greatest key and spiritual practice that starts your process of death to self is prayer! You must choose to pray in the Holy Spirit, ‘Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us,’ (Romans 8:26).
