I've been trying to remake this is but it's hard to isolate the vocals from the Sly Stone sample.
Yeah, he either did a lot of fiddling to silence the guitar or used a version other than the one in whosampled..
@@Can_E_ In the original song, the horns play on the right channel and I tried to filter it out so you only hear the vocals and little bit of the guitar. It worked a little bit, but it just made the overall sample muffled. The horns were still present tho.

When you get a sample cleared you get access to the stems and you can isolate each instrument. Or he was using one of the old school MPC’s like RZA used to use that allowed you to isolate drums, highs and vocals.
