  • In this video we go through several consecutive days of hunting the same turkey. He consistently stayed in several open fields with a group of hens and after several attempts, we made the right decision at the right time and called a pair of gobblers in to 30 yards. I think you guys do a great job of filming the hunt, telling the story, and recapping it. Good move to back off that field edge. Sometimes, we do dumb things when one has given us some trouble, and we become our own worst enemy. Good job!! Congratulations!!

100 percent spot on. I had gotten to the point where I was second guessing every little move I made and it cost me multiple times.

    Atta boy!! That flop!!! 😮
Quick question… when y’all wade that cypress, catching crappie, how do you know they’re gna be in there that shallow? What conditions do you look for? Are those fish spawning this early? I live in Northeast AR and wonder if I could do the same here?

We appreciate you watching. That video was made in mid April last year. It usually starts early to mid March every year. When the water temp begins to consistent stay around 60 those fish will move up shallow. We caught several fish back in February when we had that really warm weather for a few weeks. Now they have moved back out since it’s been so cold lately. We are about to get back in to a warm pattern it looks like so I feel like the fish will start moving back shallow soon, and will continue to get shallower and shallower until they lay. We always seem to do well around the 1st of April on shallow fish.
