IT is nice we can vicariously look though dollar coins and find varieties we might never get ourselves. It was nice to see the example of the doubled ear. BTW The coin where you removed the tape certainly improved the coin without "corrupting" it!
Another great video! That top-50 VAM is sweet - despite it being cleaned! My LCS doesn't check for VAM's, and I have found several including one top-100 VAM on a GSA-hoard Morgan. Now, if PCGS would only grade the coin, I could see what it is worth! (My PCGS order is on day 126 and the coins haven't been graded yet. Sheesh.)
GREAT VIDEO! I myself search for VAM's on all my Morgans. I've got a huge collection of them. It's a tricky market when selling the extras. Most buyers try and pretend they're not too concerned with varieties. GREAT FIND on the doubled ear. What's really fun is when I find top varieties on older slabs especially when they're high grade like the "1884 MS-63 DPL" Old NGC FAT holder that too my surprise is a VAM-5 "HOT 50" Doubled 18 & EAR. The only question now is to get it reholdered with proper label or keep it as is in an older holder?
I think the hole would fall into the cull category. I remember when I was a kid saving up my money and going to the bank and getting silver dollars, that was in the very early 1960's when all the dimes, quarters and halves were silver. All the dollars were 1922 or 1923. They seemed to have alot of those.
Rob, could use your help with this one. I came across some Morgan silver dollars in my desk I forgot I had. One that caught my eye was a 1892s that appears to be in pretty good shape I have no idea what the value might be for this one and also found a 1899o I believe What do think
wow silver dollars... ive always wanted to see a silver dollar search.. the only kicker is buying from a dealer... yyour gunna be hard pressed to find anything good... they pick thru the coins im sure...
Just think, at one time they were $1 each. I saw an estate sale on RUclips. $10 federal rolls. They were perfect. He paid $300 a roll. TheCoinChannelTube is the channel
Imagine how badass it would be to pay with just silver coins like they did in the 19th century
I love hearing that slo-mo silver sound. It's almost like you're dropping plates, but you don't have to worry about them breaking.
Thanks for sharing all the info! Enjoyed viewing as always! Take Care Stephen
Nice Rob👍🏻 Thanks for sharing 😊

Nice pick! Hard to decide on that for sure - I think I would want the proper label and holder personally.
Love silver dollars! Great video broheim!

That was a great hunt! Always fun 🤘🤘
Hey Rob, have you ever tried to use a ultrasonic cleaner to take the gunk of a coin?
I have but without adding a cleaner it doesn’t do much.

Who doesn't love a Morgan & Peace Dollar Hunt!!!
Fun hunt. j Too bad that VAM was cleaned. Tragic for sure. Love seeing all of the silver regardless!!
Just a question that Morgan dollar that has a hole in it that can be repaired at least it will look a bit better than the way it looks now I think
Love you Rob
Definitely a different coin hunt!
