On the 14th year of writing poems, shizuo had an accident (hit by a truck), and he lost all his memories except for the fact that he loves izaya, so he kept writing poems. On the 15th year, he suddenly had ALL the memories back, he cried as he finally understand why there hadn't been a reply from him.
