I don't usually comment on videos, but this guide is so good I feel like it deserves it. Thank you for making such an amazing guide, it will be very helpful once I get some skills up.
I've been watching a lot of Abyss content to figure out an upgrade path for myself and this video is by far the most comprehensive guide on every aspect of the fit, how to use it and most critically what the challenges are in each room with examples and explanations. Great job! Like the other commenter said, I wish the test server was up. I have a feeling you can go much, much cheaper than this into a t5 but I haven't the bank to yeet hundreds of millions on a hunch. But if I had to pick a build to go with I'd take this one specifically because of the great exposition you have here. Edit: You had me at BoC
Glad you liked the music! And the video :p You probably could make a cheaper fit work, but I'm not sure how much cheaper you can go before it isn't 100% safe anymore. Besides, it's very useful to have a blingy ship for those long grinding sessions, you don't have to hyperfocus on every hard wave. It's like a 1000 mile roadtrip, would you rather do it in a new Mercedes or a 1998 Honda? ;)
@@man2meandyou Here's an unasked-for update. I bought it and did about 20+ runs. Short version: goddamn this thing is as stress-free as you said. It's as chill as my povertila, maybe even more. Long version: I was coming into T5 from the T4 Gamma povertila fit. I was quite scared of it because I wasn't considering Gamma's effect on enemy shields - it was all I ever knew so I never had to think about it too hard. Turns out in T5 electric enemy ships also have less shield hp which in my (admittedly limited) experience means that the clear times are only slightly slower in T5. It also means that while there are more enemy ships to contend with, they tend to die quite a bit faster, especially because of the fit's bling and the lowered EM resist. Pile on top of that the fact that Amarr drones track the best and it's just a great time for this ship and fit. I've contended with very bad Sansha and Karen rooms but you undersold the fit's neut resistance - this puts Sansha as higher danger level than Karen rooms for me. The worst I've had only required juggling some heat, drone targeting, but no drugs yet. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. For my part I'm spreading your guide as far and wide as I can.
@@Haiatola Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad it's working well for you :D Yep, electrical abyss has a capacitor recharge bonus, that's how the neut resistance is so good. The only room I'd get scared about it in would be a 4x starving Vedmak wave with a red cloud spawn. It's interesting you said you had bad Sansha rooms, I've never had an issue with them, if you can stay away from the Knights it's trivial. The Angel/Cynabal rooms are the scariest for me, the one in the video is still the hardest wave I've encountered yet. Otherwise, this fit makes T5 abyss a relaxing activity for sure :p Happy grinding!
@@man2meandyou The hardest Sansha room I had put a ton of damps and knights on me. The distance between my lock range and their effective weapons range was about 10km so by the time I hit the edge of the arena I hadn't killed much and was taking some damage. It wasn't hard apart from that 'oh fuck' moment tho - heated the hardeners and kept moving. It's more that this happened zero times in T4 so it's definitely a skill issue :D might've been a -70% EM resist on top
