Hey guys first off wanted to say I love your content. I use to ride highlands and durhamtown all the time and I’m going to get back into riding here in a few months. I wonder if a better comparison would be the 350xcf. Softer suspension like the Honda and different gearing.
Question...I am a "vet" rider and have a new 2023 KTM SX-F 350 arriving any day now. I am a former powerlifter so I weigh 230lbs. Did Jonathon have any issues w/ the suspension being heavier than the recommended rider (at 175 -185lbs). I'm wondering if I'm going to need a new rear spring or can I keep it stock. For reference.....I will be riding and jumping very similar to this video, no competitive racing. Thanks in advance!
Break the frame in for 5 hours with the stock spring. Jonathan actually just left the bike at KTM World this weekend for a stiffer rear spring and revalve.
@@jameswampler3135 Do I just tell the shop I need a spring for my weight? They've already said the spring is approx $140.00. Thanks for the reply! I guess you like the 350's huh? LOL
Why are you comparing a 23 ktm and a 3 year old Honda ? The honda with the duel muffler is a top end bike , the newer Hondas have more bottom and top end. And a SX ,and a RX , a motorcross bike and a off road bike , ?
I wish they went back to Steel frames on the Honda and add a 6 speed transmission on the CRF250RX.
That would be the move

Thanks, Robert! Appreciate you watching. Once you get back riding, let us know. Good suggestions. We’ll see if we can get our hands on that.
Any chance of lap times?
Yes, we are planning to do a lap time video. Stay tuned!

@@motorbros I greatly appreciate that info! THANKS!
That's my story....230lbs. I've had 4 350s and you will definitely need to change the rear spring.

@@jameswampler3135 we are working on a spring video that will go into more detail about the process and outcome.

Yes, we are looking at the bikes from the perspective of a beginner and getting back into the sports.
