If you want to disassemble/donate one of these beds, are there any good resources for that? I tried calling Landauer Medstar but they said they don't take them, even if it's a donation.

Thanks I have a question. My mom has this bed we want to take the wheels off to make it a little lower because she's short and has a hard time getting on and off even with help. Are the wheels hard to remove? Well not exactly the same hers has a crank and we can't get it any lower for her

I'm going for an interview next week with Healthcare Solutions (Lincare) and wanted to see how the beds are to assemble if I can physically do it or not. I'm 61 yrs old and have a bad back and bad osteoarthritis in my hip makes it difficult to bend forward. Just wondering if I would be able to do this job. If anybody that knows, I would welcome any opinions.

James, I'm nearly 59 and have been delivering these beds as well as other medical equipment since 2008. Once you get the process down the beds aren't difficult to assemble. Full electric beds have the motors attached to the foot end so that section is the heaviest, but still not too terribly heavy. There are times while doing home deliveries where the family wants the equipment placed upstairs, and that may aggravate the health issues you mentioned. My advice is to be up front and honest about your back and hip during the interview. I've worked for a few of these companies through the years. They (at least the ones I've been with) are pretty accommodating to employee needs. Best of luck in your job search!

I have one of these beds for my father and it's making a grinding noise when I try to raise the bed up and down. The central shaft is spinning and it will go down it just won't come back up. Any thoughts?

I would like to use a bed ladder with a full electric bed. It has to attach to the bed frame. Where do I attach it to?

I was checking to see if I can take the foot board off. I dont need it, it's dangerous. My dad hit his toes on it and foot board is not necessary.
